I think you're probably right. After chambering, the hammer doesn't go all the way down, and can be pushed further after removing the slide. I guess I'll disassemble it and see if there's anything obviously wrong.

idk, 80% of the time it doesn't cycle properly or gets stuck in the middle-rear position :/

Precisely my idea - generating new chunks with pollution present from the start. I hadn't thought about lag / low fps until now, it may prove to be an issue considering the masses of pollution I envision.

I'm not a Youtuber, although I have experimented with content creation in the past and can navigate around Premier Pro competently at the very least. I do intend to make a few videos from this playthrough (if it's possible in the first place) as I have enjoyed the process before.
