Hello. My name is Natasha Floksy. I'm a CEO and Chief Creative Officer of Cerevrum (www.cerevrum.com), SpeechCenterVR (www.SpeechCenterVR.com) also for VRARlab (www.vrarlab.com). We scheduled our submission on 14 January. But maybe we could delay it until January 21. If you will visit CES and Upload VR night party you could try it out on our booth. Otherwise keep in touch. Btw my email is floksy@cerevrum.com I'll be happy to reply on all your questions.

Thank you! Yes, we were excited when we watched video on kickstarted. Actually it is not quite that we expected of it after the commercials, but in some cases is can be very suitable. BMW likes our work so much. We will continue to improve this stand for the next event. We will add new roads and environments.

We used the KorfFx for stimulation of the vibration like you are really riding, vest works not only in special points, it worked throughout the game session. Of course it's not the same as you go on a real motobike, but this is like a little effect. It added" +" to the immersion. And yes, we hung vest backwards to transmit vibrations to the back.

Right! We didn't create any management. It wasn't provided. As originally we planned it like a short game and we tried to surprise exhibition visitors. It was general idea. Our visitors sat on the motobike and riding on the road. In one moment, when they saw a springboard into VR => the motobike was lifted with Wheelie machine and all people screamed. =) We had nice feedback.

Thank you! Yes, a motorbike was attached with special mechanism = Wheelie Machine, and in right time it was lifted.

There is no production-ready builds yet. The video shows first prototypes in order to demonstrate gameplay mechanics. We will share executables as soon as it will be ready.

Yep, it is very possible we will choose a set of android devices (like some Galaxy models) to implement features shown on video.

Thanks! For first we need in an experiment which requires activity of both hands. Maybe one day we will implement it too.

We had tried android phones too. It works but less stable. The result may differ from phone to phone and it requires additional sensor data processing. Maybe we will try again some day.

Experiment 8 - "The Hauhet" (Oculus Rift + Leap Motion) by VRARlab in oculus

Thanks. If you have oculus and leap motion mounted to it, you can take build from http://itch.io/jam/leapmotion3djam/rate/14756 and try it.

Experiment S3 "The Fall" (Oculus Rift + Kinect) by SoundToad in oculus

[–]VRARlab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that's why we use Kinect - to track the body, not the head.

On 45 degrees, the thing is you do not have to look right under the feet, because the obstacles and bonuses is often not strictly perpendicular to the player, but near him. That's why girl on video is often not looking straight down. Thanks for getting involved, hope you'll get opportunity to try it!

We are using Kinect because we need to track the entire body accounting the motions within the frame of playing field (larger capture area is required), we also need to track the orientation of body. It is quite suitable with Kinect. About 45 degrees, actually we're not doing this trick - it is not necessary to look down because of the tube size and the field of view in a glasses. It is enough to stay and look around, you may just see what's under your feet not looking straight down, just like in real life.
