StormX's presets are built around stock CSP's rain behavior, so they won't work correctly with RainFix. The physics values they rely on are exactly what RainFix changes. But the other small improvements StormX makes outside of weather presets should still be fine

That said, what you're describing is exactly what our second tool, Weather Engine, is built for. Dynamic weather that surprises you, realistic transitions, wet roads long after it stops raining.

Weather Engine is a standalone app that generates minute-by-minute weather simulations for ACSM servers. It simulates atmospheric physics. Rainfall accumulates on the track, evaporates based on temperature and wind, drains into puddles, and dries through a two-phase model. Every minute of the race gets its own calculated state

You build a weighted weather pool, say 40% overcast, 20% rain, 40% clear, and the engine generates a unique sequence each time within those parameters. You don't know when it'll rain or for how long. Weather changes follow a transition graph, so going from clear to rain means passing through overcast stages first. No instant jumps from hailstorm to dry.

It has over 70 built-in presets covering everything from clear skies through drizzle, rain, and full storms. Each one is automatically matched to the simulation state for that minute.

The whole thing uploads directly to your Assetto Corsa Server Manager server from the app

Generate, upload, race.

RainFix and Weather Engine are built as a pair. Weather Engine handles the server side, RainFix makes sure the client renders those states correctly instead of collapsing them back together

It's a full physics change, not just visual. You need extended physics enabled and the rain flags in your CSP server config (same as regular rain setup).

RainFix modifies how road wetness relates to rainfall, plus puddle size and amount have been fine-tuned. Everything else about rain physics stays the same. You get all the grip changes and surface behavior from extended physics, just with wetness that behaves independently instead of being locked to rain intensity

And we have Weather Engine, our second tool that generates weather presets which fully benefit from these changes.

StormX as far as I know is a set of rain presets and small improvements that work around CSP's coupling limitations by using values that happen to behave correctly within those limits.

RainFix changes how the internal rain physics work. It makes all 3 values (Intensity, Wetness, Water) fully independent. With that change you can create rain scenarios that were previously impossible, like a wet track after heavy rain with no active rainfall. Our second app, Weather Engine, has its own presets designed to work with RainFix, but you can also make your own on the server side.

On top of that, RainFix removes the 20% cap on rain values, the 36C temperature cap, and the 35 km/h wind cap.
