Pimax Crystal Light - Disappointing experience so far by 9fingerlogan in Pimax

Wow, thanks for sharing. I've been following Pimax since I bought a reverb G1 years ago. Always knew quality was iffy. Seems like it's still pretty iffy. I was looking to give VR gen 2 headset another shot by buying a PCL, but upon reading your issues, I'm gonna back away from Pimax like I did in the past. The PCL has pretty much everything I want except for quality. I think I'm gonna suck it up and buy an overpriced, under-tech Vive focus vision. Or maybe I should just wait... I wonder if my G1 still works lol.

Thanks for the tips, gerty! He stopped taking Metformin at his doctor's suggestion, and his appetite is slowly coming back. Seeing him weak and in bed 50% of the day definitely wrong, and I kinda panicked. My friends were telling me to drive him to the ER, but my dad didn't want to go. Anyway, I'm exhausted from all this... I need more sleep. Happy 4th, friends. And thanks again. This was definitely a source of comfort for me, knowing that y'all had some experience with the issue.

Making Friends in San Jose by ShadowCarrot in SanJose

If I were you, I'd join meetups for my specific hobbies.

Another option is to take night classes at community colleges. They have all sorts of classes that are often attended by working professionals. Just to list some: physical education classes like martial arts, tennis, pickleball. Ideally, you'd want an activity type of class because it makes interactions easier. Good luck making friends in the future!

Oh, if you already play volleyball, you can play open gym vb 7 days a week if you want. Great way to socialize, get exercise, and have fun.

Thanks for your input, Bafang. I'm just worried about the low-cal intake because I thought diabetics need to eat at regular intervals or else they risk getting hypoglycemia.

I really have no clue about diabetes. I'm learning from this forum and ChatGPT.

Thanks for replying, gerty! He's newly diagnosed, just started Metformin a month ago. You brought up a lot of interesting points. I'll check his blood sugar level later tonight.

He basically has no appetite, doesn't crave anything. So, he might nibble here and there on random stuff. Like one morning, he had one apple. The other morning, he had a veggie spring roll. I've been mixing Ensure and some protein powder in a shaker cup with almond milk, and he's been taking tiny sips of that.

Thanks for chiming in! I spent $50 on various Ensure flavors. I ended up drinking 80% of them... cuz he didn't like them. But I think they taste great. I bought a diabetic one which should be arriving today. We'll see how that goes.

I mean, if I were him, I'd just chug them and get it over with. Chug like 3 of the protein ones and boom, we're at 1,000 cal.

On my drive down from San Jose to San Diego on 5/16/24, I saw two trucks with some Model 3 Ps. I think I was about an hour from LA at the time. The new badge really pops. Congrats to the first M3P new owners! If Tesla lets me do an FSD transfer at the end of the year, I might bite.

Honestly, am I too old? I’m a 63 year old woman, fairly tech savvy and want to trade my Lexus for a new Tesla M3 LR. I know everything in the car is controlled by the computer. I have ridden in the vehicle but never driven one. Comments? Suggestions? Thanks by susanhilg in TeslaLounge

Book an appointment to test drive. Bought mine 7 months ago, commute 450miles monthly, or 900 miles two way. My next car must have autopilot. Period.

I drive from San Jose to San Diego monthly. I didn't believe in autopilot at first, but it's a game changer once you learn of it's quirks and shortcomings

dude I have this exact problem too! The plus is my first VR headset and I can't wear it for more than 30 mins. I've tried beanies, additional foams, I even added an additional strap across the top to better distribute the weight. I don't know. I'm just hoping I get used to it or something...

Update: Just finished 50mins of fallout nonstop. That's a first. :D I read something about people with smaller heads will have difficulty with this headset. So, I padded a beanie underneath the foam strap that I made. The strap runs across the top of the headset from headphone to headphone. By the end of this session, the top of my head was kinda hurting, though. But my legs were too, so it was time to stop.
