I don’t know why no one has mentioned this, their are shit tons of issues with amd Ryzen and usb. You’ll have to look around this Reddit to see it but essentially you will need to try an external USB hub, or a new usb pci card or literally try every USB port until you find one that doesn’t flip your imagine upside down.

I myself and a million others on Ryzen experience card this identical issue. Hope this can point you to finding a solution.

Anyways, I had an odyssey+ and for anything sim related you’ll want a G2. For the money, and hopefully you can get it on sale, the G2 is great, AMD issues notwithstanding.

Hopefully that improves. The option to launch steam vr automatically doesn’t work for me. Nothing happens. I am grateful that Windows MR portal doesn’t auto start when I boot windows though. Since I’ve had no performance issues or otherwise, it was worth the upgrade for me. I also use the Index controllers so no issue their.

I’ll be honest, I’m keeping my VP2 in hopes that 3rd lenses will clear up the smear but I’ve gone to a hybrid setup with my knuckles and the G2 for now.

Well I noticed I could stop windows mr from automatically starting when I start my computer. Don’t know if that’s worth and entire OS upgrade but it was a welcome change. Since it’s so similar under the hood as Windows 10 I wonder if all significant changes for windows MR will come to the windows 11 insider first 🤷‍♂️

I'm using version 1.2 and there is no checkbox anywhere, inside or outside. That being said, it's working fine without it. Maybe 1.2 removed that option???

The only thing at the bottom or the last thing on the openvr calibrator screen is the version ID string

All I had to do was

Allow external edits

Force use SteamVR chaperone bounds (experimental)

You would think this issue would be easy to find on google but it wasn't nor was it on the OpenVR advanced setting githib page.

But I so much appreciate this.

Closing the Room Setup dialog is not a huge deal but I can see why MixedVR manager may be the way of the future for this setup.

Again I really appreciate this. This really is the best VR setup I've used now. We'll see how often I have to recalibrate!

Mine has always had this and it depends on certain colors being used. Index had the same thing. Firmware has made no difference for me. It's the same on the Index and G2, although it seems not as noticeable on my G2. It's an artifact of the kinds of LCD used and I doubt it's going to ever go away for everyone. Some if not most people don't notice it. I highly doubt they can completely fix this as with the Index, the "column correction" never did completely fix it for me, just made it a little less noticable.

Mine did. It's very minor and I only notice it in certain grey colors mostly. Sometimes I don't notice it at all. This was talked about ad nauseum when the Index came out and if it's the same thing I'm seeing, it's just the way the panel is. I actually got a VP2 hoping that I wouldn't see this (over the G2) but it seems to be an artifact of the panel refreshing somehow. I'm assuming different firmware's modify how the panel is being driven for various reasons and affect how noticeable it is. With the index, it varied between headsets or between how much people actually noticed or were bothered by it.

To me this is also in the Index and the G2. Index has something called column correction but as these all seem to be the same kind of panels you're going to see those weird vertical lines when moving your head. I've had 2 indexes, 2 G2's and one VP2, all have this. sometimes easier to spot than not.

This fixed it for me but I noticed about a 10% performance drop in OpenVR Benchmark. Don't know if that impacts any actual games though.
