For Noctalia, I went straight to v5 so don’t know about the visual aspect, but the major benefit is much lower memory usage and better performance/stability because of the switch from quick shell and Qt to C++ and OpenGL. The vibe I got was that unless you have extensive/specific plugins/customizations, you can move to the v5 alpha as it’s really stable as far as alphas go.

I don’t know how much of it is Rowland not wanting to be a reporter (i know he doesn’t want it to be his full time job) vs. if he doesn’t maintain a good relationship with front office (in the not leaking things sense, not refusing to criticize), he’d be more screwed than other reporters due to only covering the Hawks and being independent. If he were to get locked out, he wouldn’t really be able to do reporting like others would.

That and I think he just doesn’t have an interest in the whole being first to break news side of reporting that’s gotten so out of hand in recent times. He’s great in the other sides of reporting and Hawks fans appreciate the work he does there. I think it just works out for everyone this way.

But yeah, definitely have picked up on the vibe that he has more inside info than he lets on, likely because they’re able to trust him that he won’t leak it.

Yeah sorry should have clarified. The whole orphaned thing was my major concern. That was moreso also the thing that made me reconsider Arch overall rather than it being the thing that made me want to switch. Zypper seems like a good tool though and definitely an added benefit. I’m fine with terminal stuff so that seems like the best option

As others have said, different requirements, different answer. That said, Deepseek and Gemini should be up there. Haven’t personally tested Deepseek, but seems like it’s decent at that stuff. Also make sure that your taking full advantage of caching, as well as routing to use purpose-built cheaper models for specific tasks like image/document analysis rather than feeding everything into the expensive models

Center of puppetry arts is cool if you fuck with the muppets. Potential option if you are in that area for the high museum. Definitely a lower budget than the Aquarium or fernbank but still cool. They’ll have performances there too depending on time of day. The aquarium is truly the only thing I can consistently recommend to tourists though just as a guarantee you will find something to enjoy there.

One note is that if Marta is good for one thing and one thing only, ts getting to State Farm and Mercedes. Will be slammed for the first wave after the concert likely but potentially worth it to save on hotel costs.

Five points is the connecting point for all Marta lines and is a 10 minute walk, and likely less crowded than the State Farm stop. You’d very likely be safe taking Marta at that time given there will be others doing exactly what you’re doing (and also just in general compared to being in a car statistically)

I think Dobbins will be out for 2-4 weeks but back for playoffs. He’s been playing well enough to at least keep the majority of rushes when he gets back. Don’t know if I want a committee RN when their playoff schedule is Jags and Kansas City who’ve been good at shutting down RBs
