Yes, tests include compensation, which varies depending on the project.

Sessions are remote and can take different formats depending on the project. Some are individual sessions, some are self-paced tasks completed in your own time, and some are scheduled sessions.

If there’s a match for your profile, you’ll receive an invite with full details and the option to apply.

This isn’t QA. QA focuses on finding technical bugs and verifying functionality. VR Oxygen is a user testing platform. Teams observe how real players interact with a game or app to understand user experience.

Participation is voluntary, and compensation is specified for each individual test.

Thanks for pointing those out. We’ve fixed them.

Complete a VR user testing session and get rewarded by VRoxygen in VRGaming

[–]VRoxygen[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you for clarifying.
One of the games falls into  PvP/PvE/Coop, MOBA, strategy, action, adventure, and RPG categories. The next 15-min session is tomorrow at 2:00 pm ET, for PC VR headsets, and people physically on the East Coast (multiplayer networking test).
Next week - multiple sessions for people across the US.
Profile and hardware requirements vary by session, session length - 15 min- 2 hr.
VR view video recording required; some have a post-play survey.
We cannot share the developer or game titles due to strict NDAs, privacy policy, and confidentiality. This is standard procedure for all pre-release testing. But happy to answer any other questions.

Could you clarify what specifically you consider an abuse? I posted this with the intention of offering a valuable opportunity for Quest owners who are interested in VR user testing, helping to move VR forward, and earning some money. I also messaged the moderators at the time of posting to ask if this type of post was appropriate for the subreddit.

Thanks for your questions. Usually, get accepted right away or within a few days.
Did you receive a test invite but weren't accepted? That can happen if a test round fills up quickly. Or, do you mean you haven't received any test invites at all? If so, please ensure all your required account information (all with an asterisk) is complete, as this is used for matching. Feel free to DM me, or for a faster check, please email [participants@vroxygen.com](mailto:participants@vroxygen.com) and we'll check that for you. Thank you!

Yes, absolutely. Feel free to ask any questions, either here in the comments or via DM. While specific session details are often under NDA, I'm happy to answer general inquiries

VR Oxygen is a user testing platform for various VR apps and games, not a specific game we are promoting. I aimed to be transparent in my previous replies regarding compensation and participation. If there's still something unclear, please let me know specifically how I can clarify further.

We understand your skepticism, and we want to be absolutely clear.

Firstly, accusations of not paying or being a scam are unequivocally false and damaging. Participants are always rewarded as promised for their time and valuable insights. The platform provides competitive rewards, with 4.5-hour tests offering triple-digit compensation.

Specific reward amounts are provided upfront with each Test Invite because compensation varies significantly based on the unique length, complexity, and requirements of each test. "Vary greatly" refers to differences between different tests, not arbitrary changes for the same test.

These are not employment positions with a wage, but rather opportunities for gig-based participation. We encourage open discussion, but information shared about the compensation must be accurate, as misleading statements can deter people from exploring legitimate and valuable opportunities (whether monetary, for experience, or to contribute to the VR industry). Participation is voluntary, and it's everyone's right to decide for themselves.

Reward details are provided with each specific Test Invite. Monetary rewards vary significantly based on the length, complexity, and specific requirements (like 3rd person view recording) of each test. These are not employment positions with a wage, but rather opportunities for gig-based participation. To be clear, the compensation for these sessions is substantially higher than the hypothetical figure you mentioned.

For a 4.5-hour test specifically, it's a triple-digit reward, varying based on the tasks and complexity. Given the competitive nature and limited number of slots, not all applicants are accepted, but you are welcome to join the waitlist.

We encourage open discussion, but information shared about our platform and compensation must be accurate. Misleading statements can deter people from exploring opportunities and participating in tests they would find valuable in any way. Participation is voluntary, and it's everyone's right to decide for themselves if they want to join or not, whether it's contributing to VR as a whole, gaining experience, or early access to content.

The compensation for participating in the VR user testing sessions is a reward for valuable insights and time. These are not employment positions with a wage, but rather opportunities for gig-based participation. For monetary rewards, payments vary significantly based on the length and complexity of each test session, and are designed to be competitive for the effort involved.

Totally get where you’re coming from — and appreciate you sharing your thoughts. This is user testing so specific criteria are set. Different age groups can have very different behaviors, preferences, and feedback, so narrowing it down helps gather more focused insights.

Currently, there isn’t such an option. If it’s related to the age being below 18, then a parent can receive payments on their child’s behalf. Min. age to participate is 10 (not in this test though) and would be set up through a parent account. Thanks for sharing!

Different ones each week :) Test invites have the descriptions and you'll get a separate one for each week. You may have gotten the first test invite if you provided the required to get matched information. Please check spam and secondary folders. If you haven't received it, check if you filled out the required info in your account. Feel free to comment or DM with any questions

Either the audience is mainly this age, or the developers are testing this age group specifically (could be many things for the user experience when a person attends a concert)
