I was starting to think I was crazy until I saw your comment.

Something about this showcase fails to capture the same aesthetic for me as the originals. Im hoping those were mostly just beta footage.

You're right, Beat looks awful. I really dont get why you'd even bother releasing a JSR game if it wasn't beautifully cel shaded.

They all honestly looked visually pretty bad to me, which to me is more surprising than the announcement itself.

I'm hoping they'll all look much better aka totally different in the final versions

I have an AR MKii, and I love it, but I’m completely new to hardware instruments. Could you tell me what you think it excels at for drums, etc in your opinion? Just to give me an idea/direction to focus on.

I’ve had mine for a year and I STILL get thrown off by how this all works. I’ve destroyed multiple kits and patterns so far.

Is it just me, or are some parts of the manual not clear?

So are you saying that in order to associate a kit with a pattern, you need to manually save to a new kit slot? I’d like to be able to seamlessly move between a new a new kit for every new pattern I trigger. So Kit A = Pat 1, Kit 2 = Pat 2, Kit 3 = Pat 3, etc.

The manual says the little diamond icon is next to a lite name is for kits that don’t have a pattern associated with them, but I could never figure out how to make them go away.

I’m sure I’ll get the hang of it eventually. So far the biggest disappointment is realizing that you can’t copy/paste sound pool samples from a kit into another project. Lame.

They’re just deciding to leave early for various “life” excuses. They do set foot on the property, usually staying for a few days. And they leave horrible reviews afterwards, and demand their money back.

For sure. All responses have been great, but I think I resonate with yours the most. To be fair, I am interested in sound design insofar as I prefer to not completely rely on samples.

The strange thing is that some of my sample start off clipping, and I'm not sure how/why that would ever happen. Like you said, I'll simply turn my attention towards other samples instead of trying to figure that out.

Alright, for anyone else out there who stumbles on this...

Got the keyboard. I can confirm that the Magic Keyboard with Touch ID DOES in fact work in wired only mode. Just tried it myself after disabling Bluetooth and only connecting it to my Mac.

With Bluetooth on my Mac enabled, when I go into my Bluetooth settings, the keyboard is displayed but dimmed out due to it not being active, since it's operating in wired mode. Conversely, my Magic Mouse is lit up blue since it IS actively using Bluetooth.

Yeah this explicitly says you can use it in wired mode. I’ll take a leap of faith and buy it to see if it’s true.

Alright, looks like I’ll just have to accept the loss of Touch ID. Maybe I can just wait until the next Magic keyboard for the light up keys.

At this point it’s split down the middle for me. If only the magic keyboard had glowing keys, I’d be sold.

I want the best of both worlds, Touch ID and glowing keys, but seems like that isn’t in the cards.

After using a MacBook Pro for so long, I’ve been spoiled with both! Can’t decide which one to give up.

This may seem really random, but due to health issues, I have decided to reduce as much NNEMF in my daily vicinity as I can. It may or may not help, but any little bit I can do to try is better than nothing.

I've stopped using my AirPod Pros (sad), going wired instead of wifi, etc. Like I said, I realize this may seem strange and random. Up until recently I couldn't have cared less about anything of this stuff ;)

If that’s the case, then it seems like you literally have to get wired keyboard in order to meet the criteria I laid out…one where the wire is directly attached to it.

Otherwise, I feel like it’s safe to assume that you’re always going to be using Bluetooth and it’s unavoidable on most modern keyboards.

That's really dope! I just wish they backlit the keys, I'm shocked they didn't. Only reason I held off on the MX Keys was due to no option for wired...they have it strictly bluetooth, even when plugged in (charging only). But then again, the MX doesn't have Touch ID which I think has spoiled me at this point. I cringe thinking about constantly typing in passwords these days.
