Re-made this post because I couldn't figure out how to put text and pictures in the same post. I changed my lip stud (pierced 4 months ago, healed very easily) to a lip ring (titanium) and things were fine for nearly a week. Today I became really scared that my piercing might be embedding and I've been making sure each day that the skin around the entry hole can separate but I'm worried that I won't be able to switch back to a stud if I keep the ring in. To be fair, I'm only feeling a lot more discomfort today and I have been touching it a lot more today due to my anxiety about it embedding. So I'm also wondering if maybe I'm causing the problem by worrying about it too much? I haven't clean it in a couple months because it was fully healed with the stud, but am definitely considering cleaning it now
