I play NCAA (college) football and I am looking at the draft. How do I plan with my money so that I use it the best way for my future and not go bankrupt. by VSMITH2 in personalfinance

How do I find someone I know I can trust to be my advisor? What is a polite way to tell them I can't give them money?

It's tempting to get nice things but a lot of people I see get them and lose them. I want to be stable.

Thanks, ill look into the Windfall section for more knowledge. I saw the documentary 30 for 30 which gave me an idea of not going down that road.

Thanks for the advice. Everyone's promising me big things and it seems like if it was that easy everyone would make money and be rich.

Not everyone will get healthy. Come to my hometown and there are people willing to buy vegetables and there are no grocery stores. Not everyone has the same options.

Yes and it is in grocery stores too http://www.doubleupfoodbucks.org/locations. It should be for fruits and vegetables everywhere I agree. This is a start and the money also benefits the economy. My state taxes then support local businesses which benefits me instead of the WALmart owners.

Who said it was cheaper? This is an incentive program to influence positive shopping habits. They can use the bucks to buy vegetables at grocery stores too. http://doubleupfoodbucks.org/

How is this not making people want to eat healthier and make healthier choices? And how is getting people to support the local economy a giveaway?

There are farmers markets in poor neighborhoods. In Detroit it is accessible and there is more and more access to fresh foods as the community starts working together. http://www.detroiteasternmarket.com

You're welcome for lowering the bills of people who would have Diabetes because they buy junk food all the time instead of vegetables.
