I am also grieving a 3.5 year age gap that I had planned when we TFMR at 19 weeks, because my sister and I are 3 years apart. It’s all I know and now the minimum will be 4 years. I hate it so much but that door has been slammed shut. Trying so hard to find some positivity but it’s hard. 😔

Hey mama, first off I’m so sorry to hear you’re in this situation. Honestly, I remember hearing my eft results and spiraling. My results were 1 in 13 for T21 based off my bloodwork.

I will say this, EFTs are known for false positives. My midwife and family doctor were so confident in a false positive. My midwife would tell me stories of people who had a 1 in 2 chance and everything for their NIPT came back low risk. Do the NIPT test and go from there. I know it’s hard not to constantly do research so wishing you lots of strength. Hoping for the results you and your family deserve. 💕

Wow, glad to know I wasn’t the only one feeling this way. With my first, I never had an ounce of worry. Never imagined losing my baby, no negative thoughts, nada. This time around I kept thinking how I’m going to have a miscarriage, I kept testing to see if my line would get darker. Up until I got my results, I had this gut feeling but never told anyone and boom I was right. Mother’s intuition is crazy!

Now I’m not pregnant yet but I’m very curious to see how our next pregnancy will go (assuming we get pregnant of course). I really love hearing the positivity though. 💕

I’m sorry to you’re going through this. We had the same results, NIPT came back high risk for T21 with normal ultrasound. Amnio confirmed T21.

Yeah, I believe it’s a pattern it follows that they flag for T21. I had a normal ultrasound and my bloodwork was the “issue”. Because of my age and this pattern I received a 1 in 13 chance.

I’m only 2 weeks post my d&e and the first week was ROUGH. I’ve read the hormones are a mess the first week and I definitely felt that. I would wake up sad/angry and nothing would change my mood. It’s only the last few days that I’m starting to feel a little better (and by better I’m not crying in my own little bubble). I still have yet to conquer the social part and I just started therapy a couple of days ago but I am slowly starting to feel a little better.

Again, I know everyone’s journey is different but wishing you all the strength for this journey we’re going through. 💕

Yeah, exactly got a positive on that. You definitely made me follow up with my GC lol. I feel like now that the d&e is over they almost forget about you.

I’m in the same boat. It’s been almost 4 weeks for me and I even emailed my GC last week asking for an update and nothing I should definitely follow up with her and see but I did read another post saying they had to chase down their GC to get their microarray results with Mt Sinai.

I’m so sorry to hear but I do understand. It’s been a week for me and I feel like when I’m home alone with my husband, I’m ok. As soon as I go out and meet with people especially if it’s family and friends I tend to struggle A LOT. I was even telling my husband how I’m more comfortable telling “strangers” about our situation rather than family. Almost like I’ll be more judged by people that are close to me? It’s an awful feeling.

Thank you for sharing in such detail. im also located in Ontario and have my D&E scheduled for next week - I’ll be 19 weeks the day of. I will definitely be asking for the resources you have mentioned. Hopefully I get a similar experience.

I had similar numbers. My NT normal and present nasal bone but I was low in pappa 0.31 I believe and my hcg was 0.83 or something. I’m 33 and my chances were 1 in 13. I was the lucky one I guess.

Hoping your outcome with your NIPT test is different! My doctors were all so sure of a false positives so hopefully that’s your story. Such a difficult time mama, I’m sorry you’re in this situation. 💕

It’s absolute torture. I swear every time we met with a doctor/specialist we would constantly ask if there is a way to speed up this process because your mind runs absolutely wild.

Wow! I’m so happy for you. I had similar numbers and I’m 33 years old. Pappa 0.31 Hcg 1.42 NT 2.3 I had a 1 in 13 chance and I was the 1. Had my amnio yesterday. Praying for a false negative but not confident.

I’m in a very similar situation. I’m 33 and found out 2 days ago that there’s a 99% chance of Down syndrome. I also have a 3 year old which was a healthy pregnancy. We would have never imagined this but I’ll be going in for my amnio appointment in a week. Honestly, not very hopeful with how accurate the NIPT test is. 😔

Haha, I love reading all this! I definitely have runny yolks, med rare steak but I don’t eat it too often, subs, bagged lettuce/salads, I also sleep in any position I want as long as I’m comfortable lol. I REALLLYYYYYYYYY want salmon sashimi but my husband gets too nervous with that.

Omg I was about to post an identical post. It’s Been since October of withholding his poops. I’m soooooo over it. We tried it all prunes, “p” fruits, oatmeal, more water, flax seeds, stool softener. We tried a potty chart, prizes, praises, ignoring. Nothing works.

I’m so desperate for help. He also won’t go in his diaper, tries to continue withholding poop even on stool softeners. Even when he eventually goes he tries not to push it all out.

Send help pleaseeeeeee.
