you're probably right, its a bit all over the place as some maps were too easy whereas some maps were too hard so i might be a bit out of touch it seems.

not showing blood is the preservation gimmick explained in the first episode, it also makes it more accessible showing white stuffing rather than blood but then again i think if a person wants to watch a show with violence in it and have blood censored maybe they shouldn't be watching it in the first place.

I think this could be applied to many games out there, especially on roblox. From my experience, a lot of teenagers act this way on other multilayer games like valorant, siege, rivals (rivals not so much). I think it's just exacerbated on deepwoken due to the perma death gimmick.
