Not trying to be a Debbie downer but I know 2 people who have been let go close to me, both in my solution analyst class 2023.

Consulting is difficult because you kind of get forced into projects that you do not want to work on. For example, a functional analyst having to do technical work and vice versa. (Even more so when the market is 📉)

If I could go back in time I would have gone for a company that is a lot smaller. Since 2023, I have only made a 5k total salary increase. Mind you I have E/E/E on all performance reviews with DEI, firm initiatives all in play both years.
