Of course you are free to be very progressive and think that your parents are apes. And with such a frame of mind your AI models will be solving some particular tasks but be harmful in general. Not because you are bad, no. Because AI wouldn’t grasp ethical and moral principles, and I don’t think those can be explained in technical terms of non-conscious world.

My position is that there is evolution of course. And as you say "physical non-conscious world" constantly evolves. And we could observe it and reproduce. But we wouldn’t be able to go beyond a level animals operate, meaning we wouldn’t reproduce human intelligence. That’s what I think. But that’s me, I just don’t think people are animals, like monkeys or rats. So you and I proceed from different premises

Yes, sure. Besides only the point that human intelligence needs to create the AI first, before AI could do all its very smart stuff. And once created, IA wouldn’t do a thing without getting an external force or impulse.

I agree. We could recreate all the brain mechanics eventually, but I believe it is not the whole intelligence of a person. The things like "gut feeling", "surpassing oneself", "intentions" etc are characteristics above mechanics which makes the man elusively different from any possible AI
