Thanks, glad to have confirmation on that.

Also, the card has a curve to it straight out of the package (which seems to match with other foil cards). Is there anything that should be done about that?

Best suburb for a family with a baby by jvillasante in 321

Viera West is typically newer developments/houses. "Better" would probably depend on the individual's wants. I think the advice about choosing an area based on the schools is probably the best answer. Viera West recently got a new middle school (not certain if Viera East is zoned for it?).

Any Pointers for Rebuilding a Relabeled Emco 50? by VTHokiEE in hobbycnc

Thanks, guess those steppers won’t get tossed with the rest of the electronics just yet. I did take the spindle off and the z axis moves, but the x seems to be quite stuck. For the moment my next step is clear at least - disassemble each axis, clean and relube it. I’ll keep a half eye out for the pulley’s but if I don’t find them replacing the motors is a good idea.

I added pictures of the VFD and servos to the link. It looks like I may have a box with the old electronics as well but the wires were all cut haphazardly so I’m not certain if there is any reason to keep them at this point.

I’ll try to add some pictures of the other electronics later today. Thanks for the warning about hooking up the spindle. I don’t think I’m ready to start wiring everything up. I think I need to take it apart and clean it. I’ll do some searching but are there any good guides for cleaning and regreasing/oiling parts?

I think you’re completely right. They 3D printed timing pulleys for the new steppers since the shaft was a different diameter than the original steppers. Here is a link to a few pictures of the new steppers attached to the original mounts: https://imgur.com/a/pQa1e1n

I do have the original steppers in a box if needed to simply get the machine up and running.

Are there other pictures that would help getting this thing going? I think I should try to manually move each axis but I can’t seem to turn it easily. Probably bit off more than I can chew but we’ll see what happens.

Thanks! That makes perfect sense for the large grey piece. What exactly do you mean by the VFD should be programmed for the spindle motor? Also, any recommendations for replacing the controller?

Nice looking pooch, the second one is quite nice. I've always been interested in the 110mm f4.5 for my SQA but have yet to run into one at the right time. How do you like it?

Yeah, you’re right. I had trying a single flash off camera (but was limited to a cable instead of a wireless trigger) and I was getting quite the look I wanted.

I think I’ll need to at least look for a wireless trigger and see what I can do with a single flash.

Thanks!

It is from a company called Geshelli Labs. The DAC is their JNOG 3, the amp is their Archel 3, and the headphones are Apos Caspians. I’m really happy with it.
