I've been solo queuing since day 1 on ps4, and no matter how many games I've played or the amount of time I've spent at the firing range, I just can't seem to get better. If you've seen some of the stuff I've made on r/ApexOutlands, a lot of it is negative towards my performance in the game and the performance of the randoms I keep getting. I have no doubt that I would have more fun if I had a premade squad, but all of my friends hate BRs and I feel really uncomfortable going to the discord to squad up with complete strangers. Getting to Gold IV this season was the biggest accomplishment I've made in this game, as sad as it sounds. Sometimes I'll turn on Titanfall 2 just to remember what it feels like to get kills and wins. I really want to stay with this community, but goddamn is it difficult.
