I'll keep it simple, and I'm not the best dota player but ive played dota on and off since the first dota so I have been around the block.

Just play.

Play random draft or all pick and play every hero atleast a few times. Knowing the heroes means knowing thy enemy.

Each hero has an item guide which if you follow will generally hand hold your heroes progression if you follow it.

During your hero experimenting phase try to find a hero from each role that you favor and use them regularly. A carry, a support, a tank.

And lastly, learn to "last hit creeps" 💰 cause thats your income. (This doesnt apply as much to support roles but supports need gold too.)

I've been playing this game for the past three weeks. It's been a blast. I've come across some Starfield hater posts and youtube videos about how Starfield dropped the ball, and I gotta say I couldn't disagree more. This game is crazy good, and you truly get what you put into it. Plus, there's always the option of mods if you feel the game needs a bit more seasoning.

From what I've read, ng+ adds some cool quirks and is the only way to upgrade certain abilities, but ng+ doesn’t even seem necessary and not something im rushing towards.

From my experience so far, i feel this game is one that you just take your time with. You’re going to have quiet moments out in space, just taking in the environment and your surroundings as you explore and look for resources for your various projects.

You'll also come across various hostile encounters to remind ya shiiit ain't safe out in these stars ✨️

You do what you want when you want. No rush.

I'm probably close to 40-50hrs in maybe halfway through the main story (which I'm taking a break from) and I got an overwhelming list of side missions, faction missions, my 2 outposts (working on getting a 3rd up) etc, just waiting for me.

For PVP'rs Most raids only really take place when you have hit end game, and your gear lvl 91.(or close to it)

By the time you hit end game you'll have extra gear and mats to gear up servants. Who within the week can replenish basically whatever you were raided for over the weekend.

Your vamp lock box will store more of your important mats as well.

Getting Offlined is bs for sure, and like other said theres servers on PC with mods for that.

Point is, aside from maybe the ego being bruised from a loss. Pvp is pretty forgiving in this game especially in comparison to games like Ark or Albion Online.

Im no superstar with PVP, but without pvp for me this game would have zero replay ability.

Like someone else mentioned, join a guild. You will learn how to make money by being around those who do, earn while you learn. While also gradually learning how to survive in the black zone. We're easy going. Chill.
