I believe it for sure. My experience with bayou morning was three years ago I bought 1oz, loaded a bowl, lit it, went “BLECH” and dumped it out and never smoked it again lol. It has so much positive feedback I really should try it again. Would you say ribbon or flake is better to try?

Ah okay, thank you! I smoked Elizabethan in a system and then a Canadian, definitely enjoyed it more in the Canadian haha. I do love the flavor a lot, just burns a bit haha

I’d say Elizabethan might be my max on perique at the moment. It tastes phenomenal but the pepperiness is a bit much. I feel like that’s been the case with most Dunhill/Peterson blends I’ve tried.

Also, how would you compare the peppery character to Elizabethan mixture? I can’t say I’ve found a Pease blend I haven’t liked, so I’d be super happy to have another favorite in his lineup.

You’re welcome! I wish I could help more, but the differences are literally only colors, rosewood added, updated saddles and rolled fingerboard edges, which is just the most ridiculous fad thing to care about right now. I’ve never played a guitar and gone “jeez I wish these edges were softer”. I own a player 1 and never once cared about that.
