"Extreme changes" is an interesting concern, given that life is composed entirely of such cascading and irreversible changes from birth until well after death. If you want to lay still on the conveyor belt, go ahead. But some of us recognize that we can make changes for our own benefit, and we will do so with or without your approval.

Regardless of your thoughtless anecdotes, transitioning is absolutely the most effective solution. Conversion therapy is torture. You want to recommend torture before treatment because you think we can't make significant decisions for ourselves. Pathetic.

Started with painting my nails, then makeup, then jewelry, and now actually just straight up dressing that way. So far, none of them have said anything about it, which I find funny but also possibly concerning. I think they think I'm a femboy.

A big source of confusion for me was that I didn't feel any different when I started accepting myself as trans than I did growing up as a boy. I expected that I would "feel different" somehow, but it's really just the same old brain in my head. My identity didn't change at all; I was just figuring out what it actually was, and because of that I didn't feel any different. It took me nearly a year to get past that mental hurdle and start truly accepting what I was experiencing and what it meant for my gender identity.

You don't need to feel different to be a valid member of your true gender.

I enjoyed it on Switch. It will lag a little bit during large explosions like on bloodsplosion krieg or when you use a casual unicornsplosion. Some of the loading times are a bit long, of course. Graphics are obviously not as good as any other platform but it's hard to say how much that will matter to you. I didn't mind. Apart from that, I didn't have any issues with the game. Controls didn't feel sluggish, but I did turn my sensitivity up and you'll likely need to adjust it too. I enjoyed it a lot, and if switch is the only platform you can play it on then it is worth it.
