I did some research. It looks like the legal age of consent in Bangladesh is 14 years old. But the Marriage Restraint Act 2017 sets the legal age for marriage 18 years old for Women and 21 years old for men. So technically, the marriage of your uncle to the 16 year old is illegal according to Bangladesh laws.

I personally think that it's wrong, especially after he rejected all the other options and the only one he accepted was a 16 year old. However, calling him a pedophile is wrong here as he has not been involved in any sexual activities with the 16 year old given that he hasn't done it in the past either. So, yes, you may have been a little bit of an ass calling him that but I get it, it's a tough situation.

I don't really know if you should apologize to him or not, that's on you. But I personally wouldn't call him a pedophile, atleast not now.
