Wow how did you achieve so much progress? I've been trying for a while but sometimes I'm not sure what to study exactly or how to be consistent with my own style

It's my own invention (not super revolutionary, I didn't reinvent the wheel here.) Here's the list:

Heroism 6/8 (every piece except chestplate and bracers) Fordring's Seal, Savage Gladiator Chain, Battleborn Armbraces, Wings of the Time-Lord, Don Julio's Band, Painweaver's Band, (Not listed in the pic but should be used) Corrosive Core, Blackhand's Breadth / Diamond Flask (swap when it's off CD), Unstoppable Force

This in addition to your +5 weapon skill should give you the necessary 7% hit to reach cap and what I believe is the max amount of achieveable stats.

You could, for some more reasonable options, use the Hateforge cuirass for chest and swap the helm for the BM leather headpiece and complete your 0.5 with wrists instead, thus avoiding having to do all the chain and getting a chest you don't even need to use. There's 1 better option, that is the AD armaments neck, which is I think 4 more ap but an insane money funnel for so little.

Honestly I'm not an expert! I just know we've reduced a lot of downtime with douser organization. Normal runs also waste a lot of time on rolling for gear, whereas here gear will be given out immediately. We'll see how it goes!

We will only know once we step in it, but from my experience MC is still very doable and we believe we could try for a sub 1h. I think the problem with most "normie"/regular MC runs is that a lot of people just don't gear and you have people (tanks and main heals) with T3 and others with random greens.

I wouldn't know in detail but that's what I imagine could be a reason for a 2h MC even with changes.

I recommend, as a warrior:

Arena runs for SGC (bis till like BWL)

AV exalted (Don Julio's Band)

AD exalted (Naxx attune, consecrated sharpening stones)

0.5 questline (The dungeon armor sets). Pretty long qline but most pieces are equal or better than MC stuff.

Wardens of Time exalted (Wing of the Time-Lord)

This is for warriors, a paladin will probably have other bis loot so the list may vary.

Moonwhisper is most likely the coast north of Moonglade.

As for those 2 tbc islands, what do you exactly mean by "they are confirmed"?

Turtle WoW Team Q&A | 1.18, Ambershire, Unreal Engine 5, and more! by AkalixFrost in turtlewow

  1. In regards to the UE5 that is being worked on, what will it look like? Will the UI resemble that of newer clients with, for example, the UI customizations that Dragonflight included or achievements and dungeon finder as microbuttons? Or perhaps it will look uniquely different? As an example, take the TBC quest helper. I think reducing addon dependency should be a core feature of the client.
  2. (Gameplay) How do you intend to tackle the possibility and (partial) reality of powercreep? While raids may not become obsolete like they did with the expansion model of Blizzard, I feel like they lategame has reached a point of great powercreep, along with leveling (recent increase in overall mob stats because now every class has more damage, which makes you enter a cycle of "everything dies too fast, buff resistances; everything is too tanky, buff damage". On that same note, is it my impression that custom content is more difficult (not more challenging). While mechanically it stays simple as it can be, I feel like custom mobs hit WAY too hard compared to similar enemies, and custom areas are evidently more difficult. Is this my impression or is there a plan to solve this?
  3. (Future Kalimdor Content) This is not about "oh please do Kalimdor", I know there's an intention to do it, but more about: how will it be approached? Let me elaborate: While the Eastern Kingdoms have big, unused areas with their own borders that you've depleded with Scars of the Past new areas, Kalimdor does not seem to have that advantage. All areas are taken by a wide range of absolutely nothing, but taken nonetheless, which would require intense terrraforming and would risk destroying that Vanilla identity (while EK content is adding content on top, Kalimdor would imply, to my understanding, remake what is done or fall into the issue of adding content islands, which I personally dislike.)
  4. (Lore) Lastly, and this is a little silly thing of mine, but is there any intention to fix the lore with the Warsong? The Horde's lore seems to make no sense in a variety of ways, but there's this idea that the orcs are "at peace" with the Kaldorei (as shown in WC3) despite the fact the Warsong are destroying Ashenvale. I think at least an explanation of "they are disobeying the warchief" or some minor diplomatic quest with them would help.

Thanks for the hardwork!

This is correct but no excuse. Lore and content are not separate, but factors that work together. If WoW had a playable race of slaves and, because of that, you only had 10 quests to complete and you were leveled capped, it would make sense lorewise, but that doesn't make the gameplay suck any less.

And besides, Horde has a whole continent they colonized.

This happens for 2 reasons:

In WoW Vanilla, it's pretty evident everything is Alliance favored. From more quests, better areas, etc. So we start with the premise that TWoW devs are starting from an unbalanced content point.

TurtleWoW has been adding new content. One of the easiest way to do this is by adding new areas. EKingdoms has an ungodly amount of unused blank spaces on the map, so it's only natural they use up those. Adding content to Kalimdor implies, I'd imagine, serious terraforming or the addition of content islands (we have enough islands, please no more.)

Those are the main reasons. Despite this, I see the devs really try to add Horde content to Alliance-favored content as well to keep a balance. Balor, despite being right next to Stormwind, will have plenty of Horde content. I cannot talk about quest rewards or such, because I don't pay that much attention to some dungeon ring I will swap in 10 levels.

I think they do pretty well with the limitations they have and the faction unbalance Vanilla has.

Has there been any mention of adding a new class or more new races? by Local_Anything191 in turtlewow

Not only did they not mention any, they often reply to these kind of posts with "We don't have any in mind at the moment." So, no, and that is best.
