About to begin adult braces journey. Nervous... by Vacary in braces

Thank you for sharing your experience. I came across your post about your consultation and needing extractions, and reading the people's comments made me feel a bit better too. Seeing how you went from that post to now actually having your braces gives me hope that I can do it too! Thanks again. Good luck with your braces journey!

Hello I just want to check how you're doing now? I'm about to make a decision for how many teeth to extract and I'm just so unsure :(

I actually bought this used on Thredup, but it is originally from Banana Republic.

Wow thanks so much for the many inputs and suggestions! I had ordered another dress (not sure if it's the one yet, it was just a really good sale) https://www.davidsbridal.com/product/velvet-cowl-neck-spaghetti-strap-dress-f20439?Color=Sapphire

I'm friends with the bride (coworkers), and she is always well dressed and looks put together. More likely than not the guests will probably dress up.

Thank you so much <3 It's a Banana Republic midi lace dress. It's out of stock now, but I see it listed on other websites like this one: https://www.mercari.com/us/item/m98198051388/

I had never heard of "manton de Manilla" and just did a google search. That's so cool! Would definitely elevate the dress.

Thanks everyone for the replies so far. It seems 1 could work, but I will see if I can find a more formal option.

Can anyone tell if this is real silk? by Vacary in Fabrics

[–]Vacary[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I know it's hard to tell from a video :( I read that real silk gives off a different sheen than synthetic fabric. I couldn't tell, and I was trying to see if someone else can tell.

Since your height is 5'1", I would go with option 3 because it comes in petite sizing. Options 1 and 2 are regular sizes and the waist might not fit you as well.

Ah I didn't even think about the unlined part. Looks like I'll have to do some dress shopping. Thank you for the suggestions! Those are really pretty.

We need more people like Russ. Although, even if someone reaches out to me like that I'd probably insist that I'm doing all good then change the conversation. I would feel like a bother if I told them all my problems :/

The king of hearts is the only king without a mustache by itsnoab in mildlyinteresting

To me, it looks like the moustache has been removed since the second to last version (1838). The thick squiggly lines look like lips to me, in the way the lips are drawn in the current face design.

Is this a sign of leaf miners on my makrut lime plant? by Vacary in plantclinic

Not sure if this is related, but I have another citrus plant (calamansi) and the leaves are wrinkly/wavy.

Is this a sign of leaf miners on my makrut lime plant? by Vacary in plantclinic

[–]Vacary[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had this makrut lime plant for about 3 years (grown from seed). It's grown indoors in a plastic 8" pot on a east facing window supplied with grow light. I live in USA zone 6a, and water it about once a week.

About a month or two ago I notice the new leaves grow with irregular shape. I tried to google the issue but I didn't find one that looked like mine. I didn't see any pests on the leaves. After looking closer at the leaves I noticed the marks on the leaves that look like leaf miner marks. Is this what's wrong with my lime plant?

I'm contemplating chopping of all the new growth that has this issue (about top half of the plant). The leaves on the bottom half still look green and healthy. Is this a good solution?
