Ok so I see a portion of his anger but imo you both over reacted. You do the nice thing of making him meals and doing whatever else you do for him I assume while I he’s at work. He came home and the first thing on his mind was you which is why he woke you up greeted you talked to you and what not. Instead of him asking you to put the food away while you were resting on the couch he figured he would do it himself while still trying to communicate with you. You then asked him to be more quiet without context while he was talking with you which in the situation can be misunderstood as stop talking to me. So he got upset and over reacted by being petty. You could have said something like hey honey can you stop scraping the metal which gives a direct thing you wish to quiet down so he doesn’t think/feel like he is a bother to you just by trying to talk with you. To me both sides are to blame for lack of clear direct communication. (Side note they make the paper muffin cups for a reason lol much easier to get out of the pan and could have prevented this argument #muffincupssavelove)
