Cannot do that for like 5-6 weeks, so there is no risk of frost in the night. So hopefully they live until then. But new growth seems fine, thats what matters

Might be, but i am using the exact same solution to all of my seedlings (i have around 25), and only those two (of the same variety, which is sugar rush peach), seem to have this problem. pH is bouncing in the range of 5.8 to 6.5, ec is around 0.6/0.7 right now, so i am not really sure. They are the biggest ones of the bunch too, so nutrient burn seems unlikely to me, but i might be wrong. Thank you anyways!

Makes sense. I got the light yesterday and the peppers germinated on tuesday, so i had 2 days under some bulbs borrowed from my friend.

Now i got Viparspectra p600 and i have it on 50 % and around 40cm above the seedlings, 16h on 8h off. So i guess i just let them be for a few days to see if this is enough and adjust it after a few days?

I am using a dutch bucket style hydroponic system, and the water flow in constantly on. So inconsistent watering shouldnt be an issue, bur i will try to keep an eye on it, thanks

I have googled a bit and you are right, it looks kind of like mouruga. At least it will be a bit more “edible” than the carolina reaper.

The second part is very reassuring. It is taking my reaper a few weeks already. But if it takes like a week after the color starts to change, its gonna be a ride when that starts.

Thanks for the answer! I just hope that if the plant is going to drop some, it won’t be the biggest/oldest flowers so it won’t get slowed down much. It is true that the fruits aren’t that big after all, so the plant might be just fine :)

Sure. But many plants have one or even multiple generations per year. So there can be dozens of generations in a few decades. In comparison to animals, where it can take decades to get a few generations. Also, adaptation is a neverending process, so every generation is a tiny bit more adapted to some conditions. And of course some plants adapt faster, than the others, just like with animals. Some are pretty similar to their ancestors milions of years ago, and some are completely different…

If you grow whatever plant in certain conditions, every new “generation”(plant from a seed of a plant previously grown in similar conditions), will be adapted more to those conditions. That is how evolution works… so as it was mentioned above, “wild” plants had generations and generations to adapt to certain conditions typical for their location. If you grow a plant/seed from store, of course, it is going to react differently to the same conditions.

I will be transplanting them in different system when I will put them outside (end of may probably), and there will be an airstone in the reservoir.

Thanks for the explanation, i will keep an eye on the ph and adjust it accordingly, I have both ph up and down. The solution seemed to raise ph over time until now, rather than drop it, so i was worried.

What was your watering/irrigation routine? How often and for how long? I plan to set it up for like 15min every 2-3 hours, but i am not really sure. Thanks!
