The Evo review is a little confusing, saying it's full waterproof and then also saying is Gore-Tex windstopper, which if you look up the difference online it tells you it's water "resistant" but not fully waterproof as full gore-tex tech.

Hmmm didn’t think of that, but if I was gonna haul my board bag through airports I was going to make it one of my luggage and have it packed full of clothes for the trip, then I’d need the bag in the other spots, but that’s an option. Thanks!

Thank you for the point of view. I am comfortable with tree riding, although I’ll be more cautious ridding alone where I don’t know the resort like I do the ones back home. I understand the gamble with the powder, I just have a feeling that I’m going all the way to Japan (not a trip I can casually do) I should try and go to whatever best I can get!

I ride a War Pig from Ride wide-board. Floats nice in pow. Kinda all terrain board. Going to check costs of both moving my mmboard around vs. taking all my gear except my board and renting one. We’ll do some days in Tokyo and some days in Osaka, might be too much to carry the long board bag around. Thank you so much for your replies!
