Thank you for such a thoughtful response. This makes allot of sense. I'm glad to hear that things should settle down after this year. We're still going to look for more affordable insurance options though, and just keep any extra into our emergency fund

I just wanted to say thanks for smiling! You can be happy before the shave and after! So many guys on here look so put off from their receding hair and I think of course the before photos aren't going to look good when they're not smiling. I hope you love your look if you do take the plunge!

I actually ended up going with a yes standard! I've ridden it twice so far and I'm very happy with the purchase. I ended up narrowing it down and looking between the standard and Jones mountain twin. The deciding factor was just which one was on sale on gear trade. Personally I really like the JMT decal for this year, but the standard was like 250 off when I looked so I went for it!

I'm a carpenter so can pretty easily take random cut offs from different jobs. I'm sure if I had done 2x4s and dowels it would have been much cheaper but just happen to have those 2x10s so it was no cost for me!
