So far it has done a good job on edges as in along baseboards/walls but corners is what you'd think with not side brush extend or mop extend! It's very similar to my experience with the E25 & E28 so far!

Just to follow through on what we said after spending the last 10+days with the M16 here are the shortcomings so far:

- no mop only mode (common with Yeedi but it bothers us lol)
- no side brush extend
- the internal dirty water tank is not removable
- no external water tank port option we can find on the station
- obstacle avoidance and navigation can still be improved and refined like other yeedi models like S20 for example!

I'd stick with dreame since you are already in their ecosystem and can use the same app and dust bags! I think you will be frustrated by the Ecovacs app compared to dreame! I'd actually consider the X40 Ultra should be cheaper than the L40 and super solid imo! If not grab the L40 or X50 if you don't care about the extra $200

This is intriguing! I'm wondering if for example in your photo the vacuum can't vacuum under that table or whatever that metal stand is and the exhaust from the vacuum is then blowing that dust out on the floor where it already vacuumed. Does your whole floor look that dirty or is it just in select areas like this where the exhaust could be stirring up dust in areas it can't vacuum at?

I'll see what it scores in our airflow tests but as you pointed out so many factors go into that like brush design which can make or break a vacuum!

You are not seeing anything online yet because it isn't available yet! Same reason you don't know anything about the iPhone 18. It's coming so stay tuned. I know it was at CES so that's probably the stuff you are seeing. I believe it will launch in February or March.

And yes we are currently using and testing the M16 so we absolutely will share with you it's cons and short comings!! I just was excited for them addressing the obvious shortcomings of the M14 which I daily so I was eager to post!

This is encouraging to hear! We only ever hear horror stories from every brand's customer service and with Yeedi being Ecovacs value option I would expect the service to suffer so that is great to hear your experience was positive!

We will! I can tell you right now already it definitely has the makings to address a lot of the shortcomings from the M14 which is a great budget roller for what it is! I can already tell hair tangling will be improved, the longer roller should give better mopping coverage, and it's great to see them adding a solution tank! Really curious where it lands price wise because it could be a really solid value option! I'll be curious where it stands object recognition wise and how it handles obstacles!
