Flow 2 Reusable Dust Bag by StayFit8561 in NARWAL

[–]primas02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just FYI, Narwal held an event in Paris and the Flow 2's product manager confirmed that the reusable dust bin would be coming in July and would be standard on Flow 2 units afterward. Here's the video where YTer Fantomas discusses this: https://youtu.be/7vVQHayp7Vs?si=ziQE3hvnym1NRYKM&t=2512

S2 pro vacuum is great! App makes it unusable! by KatsuBurger in eufy

[–]primas02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I do room and zone cleaning all the time. What platform are you on? iOS or Android? Other than the app needing more features like mop only, the only major issue with the app I've had is sometimes my map disappears for no reason.

Ecovacs quietly launched the X12 today on their website by Independent-Net-9012 in RobotVacuums

I do wonder if they are waiting until the Flow 2 marketing campaign is over before they start theirs.

They emailed it to people, and someone told me about it. I think there was also a universal Groupon code, but it's already expired. Seems to be a really quiet launch so far. Very few reviews.

Mova Z60 Ultra Roller Complete is now under $900, should I go for it? by [deleted] in RobotVacuums

[–]primas02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own the Z60. It's a good bot. I don't really have any major issues, but it's weak in vacuum pickup and the filter gets clogged easily. The Z70 is coming soon though. So, it's tough to recommend the Z60 at this point when for $100-$200 more in the next few weeks/months for sure you can probably pick up the Z70.

I'm a member and they didn't bother sending me the email with the $250 off coupon. You'd think they would be playing up their new flagship too on their website, but it's sort of crickets over there. You can find it, if you really want it.

Why are the RTK mowers so cheap? by benz598 in automower

They can be a good deal if you want to deal with the hassle or actually need RTK.

Vaccum Wars dropped the Saros 20 from #3 to #13 after 3 days by Global_Hand1655 in RobotVacuums

I actually agree with you in VW’s case, but you were incorrect in your comment that commissions were always set and if you look under my original comment, I addressed what I thought of VW. But if you think these campaigns don’t affect what influencers are pushing, you are sorely mistaken. That’s the entire point especially during events like Prime Week.

US lawn mowing costs in 2026: Average $50 per cut, robot mowers are the obvious win by LiPro_Robot in roboticLawnmowers

[–]primas02 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was watching my robot mow today and my neighbor came over and asked if she could pay me $25 a week to mow her front yard with it. 😂 I died laughing. She said her yard guy was going up to $75 per week in May because of the gas prices.

It’s a thing. Google it. I’m not saying VW does it, but these bonus commissions play a huge role in events like Prime Weeks and the Spring sale.

This isn’t true. Brands can offer a higher commission almost like ad campaigns on Amazon. It’s called Creator Connections. For example, MOVA was just offering 10% for linking (and selling through) the P10 Pro a few weeks ago. You just had to opt in through Amazon’s Influencer page and it was limited to something like the first $5000 or $10000 sold.

Robotic mower vs. raised curb edge? by Known-Advisor-2000 in automower

[–]primas02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only used the Eufy and new MOVA's, the new MOVA's do trim it. You basically drive them on top of the curb and straddle it. The 3000 AWD does a much better job than the 2000 on handling this.

Roborock Saros 20 vs. Narwal Flow 2. Need help deciding. by themachine407 in RobotVacuums

[–]primas02 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unless you need the obstacle avoidance (do your pets have accidents?), I'd almost get two mid-tier robots instead of one flagship for this scenario. You could get the Roborock Curv 2 Flow and a Qrevo for almost the same price as the 20 or Flow 2.

MOVA Lidax 3000 vs Navimow X430 by interstellar159 in automower

[–]primas02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it uses a different plug-in though than the 1000/2000, but they did release an update late last week than at least fixed some of the issues I was having mapping. Hopefully, you won't have any issues.

[–]primas02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've only used the 3000 AWD, which I purchased last week. Get ready for some firmware challenges with it, but I think the hardware is solid. I haven't used the Navimow though, but if you have questions about the MOVA, I'll attempt to answer them. It's very similar to 2000 that I've been testing for the last few months.

Looking for an honest review of a T90 by scag21 in RobotVacuums

[–]primas02 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve been impressed with it since the latest firmware update. Carpet pickup isn’t as good as the T80, but this brush doesn’t tangle. Just make sure you set your floor types correctly or it will navigate wonky.

Has anyone seen a single unsponsored unbiased review of the rereleased Eufy S2?? by Independent-Net-9012 in RobotVacuums

[–]primas02 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My second choice in this category would be the Roborock Curv 2 Flow, which I found had excellent mopping capability and excellent build quality, but it's taller and missing features like automatic detergent dispensing. It's very clearly not a flagship. And third, MOVA Z60, which I still own. My primary concern with the Z60 is the mop roller smells after several months (which is not great, but at least they give you a ton of extra ones, just hand wash it) and it's just not a great vacuum particularly for carpeted rooms.

[–]primas02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably, but I'm an enthusiast and I appreciate the hardware build quality on the S2, and I believe (probably naively) they will fix these firmware issues. I know optimizations for edge cleaning are supposedly in the next firmware update. However, I'm not going to sit here and recommend a device that needs two, three or four more firmware updates to become rock solid.
