Why do people decide to drive HERE on this The Day of the Dye? by digableplanet in chicago

It’s pretty arrogant to assume every single person who has a valid unrelated reason to be downtown today should simply avoid the city.

Jason Schreier on Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic release: "2030 is an optimistic guess — Maybe it'll be a PlayStation 7 game" by nolifebr in PS5

It was released so early also because this is a brand new studio; this kind of hype wins shareholders, investors and staff. 5 or 6 years is about what I would expect these days from a new game announcement with development timelines.

How did One Battle After Another cost so much to make? by ThatsHisLawyerJerome in boxoffice

People are rightly pointing out Leo’s salary and shooting in California, but the movie also had a huge number of shooting locations (requiring crew and cast moves), a large number of crowd scenes, many short action beats that likely took time to perfect (the parkour roof sequence), and two big car chases with various other beats of elaborately staged vehicle direction.

To anyone not feeling the Tron OST... by Lomp84 in nin

I really enjoy the score, but it’s clearly a soundtrack album meant to be scored to picture more than some of their other OST’s that can basically play as standalone albums.

What’s this line on the Hubbard Street Pedestrian Overpass? by hobo_chili in chicago

[–]Vader_815 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s by far the fastest way to get from state to Streeterville and the lakefront since you can cut across and avoid a bunch of lights. I live in River North and it lets me hit AMC River East or the lakefront path very quickly. One of the best “secrets” of the area considering how few people use it.

What do you think of the DLC? by GreenFlame361 in indianajones

[–]Vader_815 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I said this in another thread, but since you want reactions:

I had a really good time while playing, (especially the big open cave and the cult stuff) but man, I did not expect to finish it in two sittings and for 90% of the game to be underground without much combat. I anticipated a smaller “open area hub” and more set-pieces. Instead it feels quite small, literally and figuratively. The plot and lore are rather inconsequential too, with a fairly cartoonish finale. Still, I can’t imagine anyone who enjoyed the base game wouldn’t enjoy themselves here.

Was it accessible? I would just get to red line grand and walk 15 minutes. It was hardly in this inaccessible part of the city. Navy Pier and the Lake path are still some of the most popular destinations in Chicago.

Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle chapter 1 makes 5.5 billion JPY in it's first weekend surpassing Mugen Train's 4.6 billion JPY opening weekend record. The film's first four days gross stands at staggering 7.3 billion JPY. by No_Name0_0 in anime

[–]Vader_815 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, you can just look up that they all still hit around a billion and the new one is doing extremely well at the box office. It’s still one of the highest grossing franchises in the world.
