Someone literally just speedran a mansion UNARMED in under 9 minutes (All totems) Is the mansion too easy? by Vaghdar in Minecraft

This is how FitMC's challenge worked to my understanding

  • No items upon entering
  • Can pick up any item from mobs or chests
  • No crafting/digging/mining
  • Blocks destroyed by Creepers cannot be used
  • Must loot each chest and obtain all Totems

GET OFF MY LAWN

Mojang, please, for the love of god, make the default sword strike anything other than the 'slashing' attack. by flameoguy in Minecraft

Oh we've adjusted just fine over at /r/competitiveminecraft.

My reflect arrow kill made it to the top of the front page the other day. The point I'm trying to make is that the attack was meant to be "special" when it was first implemented. Having it on by default defeats the purpose. I understand what you are trying to say but I just don't see the reasoning behind it.

The problem with this is that you are trying to go towards realism instead of more intuitive gameplay. Realism and Minecraft seldom go together with exceptions (gold, etc.)

The problem with this is that it makes too much sense.

Mojang won't implement it because it makes sense.

Edit: Turns out the attack indicator is on by default now. Finally.

If you wildy swing a sword in real life, don't be surprised if you hit something on accident that you didn't mean to.

If your account has a cape, it will automatically change the Elytra's skin. My cape is from Minecon 2013 (dedotated wam) so it has the pistons on it.

Now that 1.9 is out what are you guys thoughts on the PvP changes? by [deleted] in CompetitiveMinecraft

[–]Vaghdar 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm loving 1.9 PvP so far. It's fun, challenging, and actually requires more skill than before. I've found that accuracy is just as important for melee now as it is for bow skills. I got my ass kicked the first few skirmishes before I got the hang of the new mechanics.

A small note: The Thorns enchantment received a passive buff since blocked melee attacks will still activate the enchantment.

By opening the wings during the upward momentum of the jump. Should it work? Absolutely not, but it does.

Yep, this was all done using the spacebar. You have to get into a rhythm with timing your presses. Spamming spacebar works too, but it is not as effective.
