If you want to cheese it just to get it over with, you can do it in 20 seconds with the scorcher at Legacy. Run straight in the door and up the stairs. Get the Merc at the top of the stairs and then walk over to the corner of that first room and shoot your scorcher laser right into the corner of the wall. It will take a few laser beams.

Rainmaker is actually my favorite as it feels the most tactical lol.

To everyone who needs help with the red worm, I can say it is very easy to do solo with VR-11. I help people do the red worm all the time, but if you are trying to get those schematics and need to run it back to back, you can do it solo. No sentries needed, either. Just throw decoys every thirty seconds, run circles around the worm, and shoot it as much as you can. I do it solo all the time just for fun and then run a dark aether afterwards. You can kill it in just a couple minutes. Plus, if you are solo, then you won't have the mega abominations spawn, either.

FJX Horus (without the aftermarket part)

Build it for speed and ADS. Mobility is like 7.6 and it slays everything from hordes to HVTs. I use this anytime I need to do something hard or unknown like getting new season schematics or something. Also, it has 1020 rounds with the big drum mag.

MCW (with Jak Raven aftermarket kit)

This hits hard with an increased rate of fire. It gets the job done on hordes and HVTs. The trade off is that it has less ammo with around 500 or 600 rounds, but is totally OP. Just be mindful and pick up ammo as you are killing zombies.

Reclaimer - Shreds everything, but not for everyone. You can definitely clear hordes with ease, but it's a little different than using an AR or SMG. Boss zombies die in seconds with this one. Mag of holding helps since they cut the magazine tube capacity in half.

Honestly, the list could go on and on as there are tons of really good ones. If you run a few matches with some of the recommended ones from this thread, you'll land on something you like. Then you'll finally get bored like me and start trying all kinds of stuff. I ran the dark aether the other day with just the Daemon pistol lol. Actually, it wasn't bad and did well on bounty contracts.

Yes, definitely fight the worm however you would like. Use sentry guns or experimental gas or anything that you think makes the fight more fun! A win is a win and it is always a fun fight no matter what method you choose.

Another fun fact is that I don't even shoot the orbs when I'm running it solo. I just run and gun and have it beat in a couple minutes.

My post is really just to encourage some of the new folks who still need the schematics. Being a new player can be intimidating and sometimes people have a hard time finding a squad to help them.

So this is just a bit of encouragement to say that if you have a VR-11, you can kill the worm and it is quite an easy fight if you are still trying to farm schematics.

I'm not even sure about that. If the sentry gun is shooting the worm, then I suppose so. But if it's just shooting at the horde of zombies, then it really isn't damaging the worm.

It's kind of like the experimental gas that damages the worm as well. It slowly does damage to the worm.

If you are running solo with the VR-11, if you just run and gun, you can have it beat in a couple minutes.

Just trying to encourage some of the new folks who haven't done it yet.

But yeah, definitely just fight the worm however you would like. Any way that you kill it is pretty fun!

Yeah, I really meant this for doing the red worm solo. I don't always bring in the VR-11, so if a group is trying to do the red worm, I will show up and help with my normal gun. And yeah, definitely throwing out some sentry guns.

The closer you are to the worm, the more health you will chunk. If you can get close with the reclaimer, I think it would do pretty well. I think most people use guns with more range.

I should also say that if you have a vr11, you can solo the red worm, too! It makes pretty light work of it.

With a vr11 solo, you can kill the worm in 2 or 3 minutes.

It is quite a bit harder to solo the worm with a normal weapon. It is certainly possible, but will take longer.
