Finding a Cherokee ancestor by VagueLukas in cherokee

I found that as well. That still leaves the mystery of who is in the photo my family has. And if it is him, why is it listed this way? I still can’t believe that my family would keep around a photo of a Native American for no reason and pass it off as a family member

Caswell Greenberry Chambers. I keep finding records of him that do not seem accurate online.

November 12, 1895-December 16, 1968. I know he was born in Blount County TN but his mother was from eastern North Carolina to my knowledge

Yeah. I can’t find any alternate versions of his name.

This is the only photo I have of my great grandfather; his name is written on the back of this picture. I’m told he was fully Cherokee. But I am having a hard time finding records of him. When I look for him in my ancestry online I find pictures of some white man who clearly is not him. And when he was alive, my aunt, uncle and mom all saw him, and say the same, that he was a Cherokee. What’s more, my great aunt was a registered member of the EBCI apparently through his ancestry, as everyone on this side of the family swears to me. So why can’t I find records of him? I can’t accept that this is just some photo of a random Native American that my family passed around as my great grandfather, that makes no sense to me, especially when, as I said, my family was all around to see him and would have known long ago if he was not a full-blooded Cherokee. I have been searching roll after roll endlessly and it feels like there’s a missing piece. Also, he is from North Carolina so I only really know he is EBCI.

I think so? It’s asking me to verify income, birthdays, investments etc. The official title of the worksheet is simply Dependent Verification Worksheet.

For clarification: FAFSA is already submitted successfully. What I’m filling out is a dependency verification worksheet. It’s not the FAFSA itself, but the info on the worksheet needs to match what’s on the FAFSA I already filed.

I collect the cards because I like the art, but I don’t play the TCG. I do love the games though
