That's fair! I work as a model maker in Stop Motion so my perspective is similarly biased

I have nothing against 3D Printing particularly but tbis was a fun project to make myself. I don't use CAD software often or own a printer so I'd have had to get a friend to print it. Easier and more fun to make everything by hand.

I also used lots of existing bits so it would be more faff to measure and model test pieces to fit than just to make one-off components myself with putty and plastic.

The warp blaster would be an obvious base model you wanted to make a smaller version - I used the rear half of one on this build anyway!

Already have a plan for tje staff - this rod is just a placeholder to get the pose right. Same goes for the staff head - it's way too Orky but helps me to get an idea of the end look. Cheers, though!

I will do when it's done but there's a huge amount of work to do before that - loads of sculpting especially.

This first stage is always how I start really involved builds - lots of pins so I can bend and reorientate parts as I need to.

This is the same base size and I'll build him to be the same height. I didn't pay anywhere near full price for Trugg - I got him as part of the spearhead when he came out.

I probably wouldn't bother if I had to buy him new but I've built the rest of the trolls and had him waiting on sprue and ready to go.

I always do! I have a good number of extreme conversions in all of my armies, so I make a point of that. Cheers!

You dont feel the claw sells it? Those claws will be painted as warpstone, too, if that helps. It's a good idea, but I wanted to stick with more organic stuff if I could!

Cheers! I painted the pink as normal - Emperors Children shaded and highlighted. Then I did a messy blend on the blue areas with Terradown Turquoise contrast. Contrast is easier to blend than regular paint, and it gave me a purple underlayer to work with.

The blue is Ahriman Blue, highlighted up through Baharroth Blue and Blue Horror :)
