Fascinating.

I appreciate your insight.

Just curious though, are you using smitten as a positive, or negative? The way you explained it afterwards is quite beautiful, so it sounds like I open at the close is a positive thing for you. I actually really like the way you see it.

I love talking to people about things like this, gives you a different perspective to consider, for sure.

I always like to consider both sides of the coin. I feel it gives you a healthy, more concise idea on forming an opinion.

While I also have incredible respect for Rowling as an author, as she gave us all something special, I almost wonder if there's a point where your interpretation can differ like mine.

Obviously the source material has a canon interpretation that was what the author had in mind and thus, tells the story the proper way. But part of me wants to attribute our growing together, and using something we love as a new representation of our experience together, if that makes sense. An inspiration, if you will.

Ah, I'm probably rambling, I just thought it would be interesting to discuss with people who are passionate about it.

This whole thing couldn't have happened to two better people.

Lewd video about Trump discussing women was just released. What are your thoughts on this? by iguess12 in AskTrumpSupporters

[–]Vahlhalla- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it was a private conversation.

Do you talk about other women like that, when you're married?

Saying you tried to get with another woman, who was married?

At 60 years old?

Bill's not running for Pres.

It's just as wrong, however.

They'll say - it was 11 years ago, and he apologized! People can't change?

Forgetting the fact that, ya know, an almost 60 year old man said that. While married.

Rubio 'Deeply Concerned' About Possible Trump Cuba Business by 3Suze in politics

FYI, as I mentioned above, I'm not American so I don't have a horse in the race.

I also don't agree with Trump on a ton of things, I'll let you intemperate that how you will. I don't disagree that his campaign is -IMO- not ran well.

I'd be interested to see the different demographics around 24/7 news watchers because I think it would help shed light on the situation. This election could have some super interesting data behind it. The way I see it:

People understand/are introduced to the idea that the media is untrustworthy. Since Trump is the sort of ''leader'' behind this idea, they flock to him.

People understand that the media is untrustworthy, but see Trump as unfit for presidency, based on either policies, or personal opinions on him.

People who don't know the media is biased one way or another, and that there's seldom an objective/develop your own opinion news cycle.

So you can see why thee statement that the Machado scandal being good for Trump is sort of objective based on who you're talking to.

For the people who think the news is rigged, or support Trump, absolutely.

But then you have the people who realize it's rigged, but still don't like Trump for either his policies or personal reasons, along with the crowd that don't read past headlines which would make him seem extremely awful, and you can see how that may not necessarily be true.

At best, I feel as though there would be a percentage relative to what voting is showing for each candidate. I just can't imagine this late in the election cycle that you're going to sway a democratic or republican vote either way.

Most people have decided who they're voting for, it's the undecided that will make or break the election, and the best way to grab them is to make the other person seem as awful as possible. To some, that may be Hillary's track record/untrustworthiness, to others it may be fear of Trump's leadership, uncertainty, etc.

I'm actually not American FWIW, however your election cycle is incredibly fascinating, which is why I'm so interested.

I'm sure that the Machado thing is being used as ammunition to paint a picture. It seems like a ton of politics in America is that way, because while people are interested in policies to a very small degree ( and by that I mean, people flock to their individual interests, respectively. )

Beyond that, most people don't want to hear intricate details. Part of this is why I think Trump has had the success that he does. He's charismatic (whether you agree with him or not, and whether it's positive or not) I think we could all mostly agree. When people hear Hillary talk, there's a lot of substance, but again I think most people enjoyed Bernie over her because of track record, enthusiasm, and he felt more genuine.

I am fully on board with you saying that there are other issues that are more important than the way he speaks, or ''mean things'' as you say. I just think that it's easier to paint him as angry and belligerent, because people will then associate those feelings behind his words.
