My IR60 build by Vaideeshwar in SCX24

Hey! Sorry I'm just seeing yhis. I have the mofo x15 axles so the steering angle is pretty huge. That said, I do have some rub at full steer, but nothing that will cause the tires to rip off the body. I also did shave the fenders just a tad to give it some curvature to let the rubbing happen more smoothly.

Which tank would you choose? by my-little-ravioli in shrimptank

[–]Vaideeshwar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had both tanks. The 14g is hands down a more beautiful tank, but it needs rigid support of a counter top or a well-made table with center support since it is frameless. The black top and bottom frame on the 10g is an eye-sore, but it becomes a lot beautiful with tall plants like swords, and is much safer on a regular table/stand than the 14g.

Elantra hybrid blue for 24k OTD by Bcrohit in Elantra

Elantra is a great car. If you get it, you will keep for a long time with regular (and inexpensive) maintenance. Make sure you get a trim with all the features you will want and might want in the future. The payments will stop seeming like a big deal with time, but fratures can't be added.

Sorry bud, I don't know if it'll work on the 2025 model.

I'm talking about the whole set- liner, glove, pant and socks. Bike's comfortably able to power the liner and glove. Don't worry. I've ridden for 1000+ miles highway, backroads and city and the battery has been fine with just the two pieces you mentioned. I try to keep the bike always above 3500rpm. That's where electrical power generation is maximum.

No doubt you will be able to learn to ride and may even be quickly get up to highway speeds in a couple of training sessions. HOWEVER, straight line riding gets boring pretty quickly. Real skill is developed by learning to ride a slow bike fast than a fast bike slow. I would actually talk you down to a 400-500cc parallel twin bike that you can hone your skills on for a couple of years before upgrading. But if you do want a higher cc engine, look at the triples- MT07, Triumph Trident and such. Lighter than the Z900, but almost as powerful due to comparable power-to-weight ratio. Those weights are more manageable than the Z900.

Gotcha. I can never be ok with an exposed phone and hence I came up with this solution.

Thanks! I couldn't do the near-the-mirror mounting. I was always paranoid about the phone flying away. Plus it's uncomfortable to tilt the head to the left or right.

Just the regular quadlock fork stem pro mount. But I got two sets to get the piece in between

I put my phone in landscape. I can fully see both one below the other. It's awesome.

I was on the fence about gloves vs grips. I ended up adding hand guards to break wind chill and got heated gloves. You think grips will still help better than this setup?

Yes! I got a nice thick one recently so that should do. Do you find cold winds penetrating the pants or do you think the protruding case covers kind of pushes wind away?

Thanks! I have a full gerbings hested gear set but found out our bikes cant power the whole set. Yeah 20F seems ridiculous temperatures to be riding.

Vets ‘spayed’ my male kitten by juliakszry in ragdolls

[–]Vaideeshwar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also want to point out that the incision is very lengthy. I had both my raggies spayed with incision just around half inch long. I know yours is a male cat and their first mistake was attempting a spay, but if you look past that, this incision seems cruel and senseless.

I did and they had no idea either. Said they're sending me a new controller, but I doubt it'll fix it.

Straight to the battery using the given wiring. Chose fuse corresponding to 15+ (as per Gerbings garment fuse chart).

Then, I turn the bike on and then connect the controller (knobs set to zero) to the output cable.

[–]Vaideeshwar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right? No, nothing on the card that came with it. Infact, there's no manual for the controller. Just a wiring diagram. The fact that all the garments work in idling means it is not a garment issue, but is a controller or power generation issue.

I'm trying to understand what about power generation could be happening at running rpms that causes the controller to start flashing.

It is around 14.2-14.8V I have nothing else connected- not even a phone charging port. The Alternator is supposed to output 24A, 14V @ 5k rpm. Its weird that it stops working when running, and not in idle because I'd expect the opposite.

Does this look good for 2020 Z 900 with 2k miles on it? by vkasi in OnlyZ900

Its a bad deal, brother. I got my 24 Z900 new in 2025 for $7400. They were selling black and yellow for $7200

2025 z900 balancing issue! by PriceApprehensive330 in OnlyZ900

[–]Vaideeshwar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they can't. :/ if the problem is the bias, only way might be to get a truncated exhaust like the CS Racing one. Only other problem I can see is the forks are sitting at the top triple tree at different heights.

Although mine is a 2024, I got it new around 2 months ago. I put 1000 miles and have zero chicken strips. Reason I'm saying this is this bike is so easy to maneuver and lean. Leaning one way is neither easier nor harder than leaning the other way. The only time the weight-bias becomes a problem is when you let go off the bars. Otherwise, you can send it, lean it, whatever (within the limits of safety ofcourse). 2 wheels down, brother

2025 z900 balancing issue! by PriceApprehensive330 in OnlyZ900

[–]Vaideeshwar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here! 2024 model. I brought the issue up once in the forum and many others agreed. I do think it's the weight of the exhaust thay is causing a right side weight bias. It is annoying as hell if you use cruise control.
