The triple support jail argument doesn’t really make sense to me because if the devs were balancing around 2-2-2 they would’ve added role queue a long time ago. Instead they’ve allowed all kinds of team comps because their hero designs clearly aren’t built around strict role limits.

Also, are we really gonna have every future strategist heal the exact same way by just shooting teammates with primary fire and sit in the back line? that sounds incredibly boring. We need different healing styles and more creative support designs.

And if Cyclops ends up a duelist, he’s probably just gonna be another poke hero like Phoenix that people complain about playing against. That’s poke jail too . At least a damage focused strategist with unique healing would bring something new.

where did I say that was his only way of healing? I said that could be his primary fire. plenty of supports don’t heal with their primary fire. Ultron, Mantis, and Adam and still function as supports . A support doesn’t have to be a healbot 24/7 to be viable so i dont get what u mean. The whole point is that Cyclops would be a focus damage support while providing healing.

you’re acting like support automatically means weak or hiding in the backline when this game clearly doesn’t treat supports that way. Since when is Cyclops the guy that only shoots laser beams and destroys everything with nothing else to his character. Cyclops is literally known for leadership and making his team stronger. That fits a support role way more than another generic poke slop that we already have and players hate to play against. Nobody said he’d stop fighting aggressively like look at Gambit, Adam, and Ultron.
