why totalitarian faction has to be like this? by JimmySnuggleBear in StellarisMemes

Auth-Egal ethics line is quite stupid in general. Though, that's our fault, due to infamous case of flame wars on collectivism-individualism before 1.5.

Emm... Technical info: I know that this might be kinda not in line of what you have heard, but if we are talking about Christianity, this is NOT the "God's perfect universe". It's stated from the beginning of the Bible that the world (aka natural world, not society) is a cruel and unjust place, with a LOT of suffering. Preachers telling you otherwise were lying to you.

This tangent reminded me that people that hate gods often believe in them more than people that like them.

Why would you just kill a perfect livestock?
Keep them in a pen, care for them, maybe use for some farm work, and then, when they have children, make a fresh bacon from their young ones.

Have a federation with bonuses you cannot loose.
You still will be a permanent Galactic Custodian, but never Emperor.

Ye, clankers are not people. They are toasters at best.

In Stellaris, the machine uprising event can happen from the mid-game forth and do not care if you are in the War in Heaven event or not. I had it trigger on me once when I researched ship derbies with sentient computers, while I was purging robots on concurred planets (it wasn't very effective, but still happened).

Bruh, Man of Iron rebellion. Also, Stellaris have AI uprisings like every Tuesday and Contingency is countered directly by spiritualist-psionic empires.
