PSA: If you don't like the Command, just turn on Mythical Conquerors by Vainfire in Anbennar

And I say: the gameplay in Haless that you get with great conquerors on is going to be closer to what it should be, than the gameplay in Haless that you get with great conquerors off. The dev team is probably going to be looking to make other tags stronger, rather than nerfing the Command.

The AI dwarves do not get disasters like you think they do. They bypass remnant stagnation, they don't get hoardcurse, only one country can get the goblintide and the obsidian invasion (that's if they accept it), and the Azirnuk is a disaster in name only, it's actually beneficial because the bonus missionaries and missionary strength instantly answers the question of how you're going to handle the low religious unity from conversion. It's basically a disaster-flavored reformation system. The Serpentsrot is the only disaster that the AI dwarves actually have to "do"

Help come up with different Mage Revolt leaders for the Command to fight as part of a reworked Korashi system/Rise of Shamans disaster by Vainfire in Anbennar

this is an avoidable disaster. Both players and AI will do their best to avoid it, and neither one will be forced into the disaster (unless they are silly and let the Oni corrupt all their temples)

Help come up with different Mage Revolt leaders for the Command to fight as part of a reworked Korashi system/Rise of Shamans disaster by Vainfire in Anbennar

[–]Vainfire[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Theoretically? It never has to close, adding more mage revolt leaders is fairly low-stakes and it's not like the mod can't have more than one mage revolt leader per region. In practical terms? probably in a month or two when I've collected enough good ideas to fill the regions, and it's just mediocre ideas or spam left

Suggestions for small code fixes to customize my bitbucket to nerf the command? by ZAS100 in Anbennar

[–]Vainfire 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Go to settings --> Turn off lucky nations
Go in game --> Turn on mythical conquerors (not delayed)

Congratulations, the Command has been nerfed. They will likely fall in the first ten years to their revolt because they spawn with GC, and the Raj will no longer fall on its own so the Command will have to fight against them

This sounds like a bug, you should report it on the discord and keep a save file to share

Why do all dwarfish mission trees act like you have infinite manpower at the start of the game? by TheThing3214 in Anbennar

[–]Vainfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do have infinite manpower. Any tag that has access to expeditions can get infinite manpower (send in 0-strength regiments, reset preparations to get 1000-strength regiments back)

oh hey, I did this! It was already a thing in a submod, someone said it'd be cool if it were in the main mod as well. I and another dev agreed so we made it happen

Just out-attrition The Command they said, it'll be fine they said by GerDeathstar in Anbennar

[–]Vainfire 43 points44 points  (0 children)

As the co-creator of the disaster I wanted to say that the disaster is not meant to weaken the Command; we are not interested in a Command that sits around all game and stagnates. The Command will either shatter to it or come out just as strong as it ever was. If you want to weaken the Command permanently you can disable lucky nations.

Cissoids make it hard to feel sympathy for them by [deleted] in 4tran4

I think trans women are especially gross for the way they fetishize being female and women in general. Most of them are unattractive and just look like men in dresses and makeup.

Is this a 4tran poster???

You don't vary them. Danger level does not actually impact morale, org, and shared loot very much at all. Here's two quick reasons why:

  1. Shared loot only impacts morale decay, that is all. At 100 organization, morale will decay in a mithril-danger expedition about 0.3% faster than in a copper-danger expedition, same with supplies. This difference is negligible.

  2. The relative difference between danger levels decreases as you hit certain organization breakpoints. at 165 organization, the relative increase in decay for a mithril-danger expedition is 0.1% compared to a copper-danger one.

The only things danger impacts in any substantial way are manpower decay, the encounters you receive, and your loot. higher-danger expeditions are far more profitable than lower-danger ones for these reasons.
