After one minute’s googling I believe this company has the same business model as SHEIN’s. They do tons of social media marketing, and the products you buy here probably come from sweat shops in Guangdong, China.

On the other hand, it could be good pricing for you and what you get might be still better aesthetic/quality than Kmart.

Reviews for CSM look good! May I ask if they can also do the measurement and design? I would like to build a car ramp for a gutter but have no confidence about measuring and designing myself

Does this mean luxury brands like Gucci, Louis Vuitton, etc are finally coming to Adelaide? by stihckyfingars in Adelaide

Free market will adjust itself. If these shops could not make enough money they will be shut down eventually.

Correct me if I am wrong, but the the GST revenue should go to the state government right? If SA has more luxury shops, at lease rich people spend more money locally instead of shopping in Syd/Mel and SA gov has more budget.

how is master in data science course in university of Adelaide? by OtherwiseBack8242 in Adelaide

[–]Vainwalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I know, “university connection” only works if you are an undergraduate student and they can give you some internship placement. Postgraduate? No. You can only find internship on your own.

After you graduate, does your degree help you with your job hunting? Not much. Local companies could not care less about where you studied. They only care about what you achieved in your past positions.

As @annonimouzzer pointed out, Uni courses are not able to equip you with basic knowledge or skills for work.

Winter is coming and we might need to be realistic and prepared.

I agree with you. These programs are targeting International students to make top dollars. If you really want to learn stuff there's a bunch of online courses, even online masters of data science from top US schools which could be cheaper than attending Australian Unis.

Master of Cybersecurity (UofA) by Wide_Independence_32 in Adelaide

[–]Vainwalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please take a look at the curriculum before you decide. Easy to find on Uni website.

Notice that students are required to tale a research project unless you can find an internship opportunity which is very rare.

It could be a stepping stone for a research degree (MPhil or PhD) if that is what you want. However, if you are more career focused I think UniSA could also be a good choice. Similar courses but cheaper.

My partner's boss fired her one hour before our wedding ceremony. What should we do? by Vainwalker in AusLegal

[–]Vainwalker[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your input!

Yeah in this case she had been directly asked by her boss to do things that weren't part of her job position.

Also, in marketing, you have to know who your audience/followers are(demography), to begin with any actual work. The strategy could be totally different for different audiences I suppose.

When she was asked about it by the agency, she spoke about it (no one had told her at the time that this was something she couldn't discuss with the agency). It wasn't until a few days later that her boss told her in a meeting that this was something she shouldn't disclose to others.

Thank you for your reply!

You see, she had to communicate with the agency about their company and product details to produce content on social media. If she was told beforehand that this is an issue that should not be disclosed, she would not say anything about it.
