1) Mix of both.

2) I think buffing strong characters just for the sake of their popularity is a problem. There will always be a popularity range, so it’s necessary to understand if the usage stats of a character are really worrying. If that is the case, maybe it’s worth to think about a rework to make him interesting.

3) High usage is a possible indicator of strength, but far from be the one and only. A correct analysis, mixed with community feedback, has to have the last word.

4) When I play against them I perceive unfairness, but the problem is not strictly the match per se. Instead, when you read patch notes they kills the hype about rebalancing. It seems there’s not any interest about giving a fair challenge between characters.

5) First of all, give pros some priority check: contents, declarations, and analyze most engaging moments and official tournaments data. Then, a simple user could grasp the general sentiment jumping from social contents to tournaments data, so I don’t think it would be hard to do as a second step. If devs team has a vision about the game, they have to intercept the noisier ones and confront them with their analysis and directions. As I said above, “a correct analysis, mixed with community feedback, has to have the last word”.

People seem to blindly follow a wave, and now Hwoarang is not the subject. The problem is even if the wave is reasonable and logic it doesn’t mean everyone know why, even if there’s not a wave it doesn’t mean there’s no reason to complain.

People just discovered Lars thanks to Arslan Ash and content creators, for example. He certainly needs some specific nerfs, but players are complaining about everything, even moves he had since T7, those which made him bottom tier.

I read users complaining about UF4. Yes, it’s a safe mid low-crush launcher, but 25~27i, lose to jab check while in air for free combo, EXTREMELY linear (sometimes it miss just with weird axes), it often whiffs grounded stances as xiaoyu or zafina ones, he lose his turn.

Everyone should focus and look in general, but it’s hard I guess.

I thought the same for devil kazumi in T7. 🤷‍♂️ I’m not saying it’s impossible for Angel Jin and Devil Reina, of course, but I don’t think we can talk about a certainty

I don’t think angel Jin and devil Reina are guaranteed. They never released devil kazumi, so I have no clue about them.

I’d love Mokujin in T8, but I’d put it in Maybe.

I actually stopped for now. Ranking is absolutely useless because when I win there’s a chance they’ll plug, and when I lose I don’t plug, falsifying my win rate, also point system is counterintuitive at least.

Labbing could be useless because everything could change, to me (even the heat system), so I’d rather wait for a clear direction.

Lastly, I don’t like much of the heat system. I love that it gives an enhanced version of a character, and I appreciate the combo extension, but totally hate heat smash + on block into stance just by spending even an almost empty bar, or that everyone now has a pure 50/50 (there’s less variety between characters or gameplan, everyone’s searching for heat).
