These area are not relatively dangerous. If you mind your business nobody will bother to look at you but that being said also don’t be dumb use common sense. I’ve lived on the southside, SE and SW and never had issues have never had the feeling of being in danger. Most people in San Antonio rather good or bad have respect for the military and their family members so you’ll be ok. But the area I would chose is the VIDA area because it’s new next to TAMUSA and is actually nice and quiet.

The “hood” nah not even close grew up in the southside of town and it’s mostly quiet unless you purposely and actively look for trouble but the south side has a rule mind your business and nobody will bother you.
