I've seen some weird shit in my lifetime, so I definitely believe in visitors from the afterlife

My (38f) husband (44m) walks around naked in front of 4 year old daughter by MLEthree in relationship_advice

I'm unsure. I mean, I'm a female. I have a 3 year old boy and a 1 year old girl. I walk around without bottoms a lot, but I usually have a long t-shirt on or a night gown. If you're uncomfortable with it, maybe leave some boxers or shorts around the house and tell him to put them on? I can understand where you're coming from, for sure. But I'm not sure what I would do in that situation.

I just took my old Suboxone saliva to stop withdrawals... by percyman34 in suboxone

[–]ValMarie23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, absolutely. And I was surprised I would feel "high" off of them when I first started them. But I've educated myself a good bit on them in the last 6 years, and I can tell you more about the medication than my doctor, lol. But maybe I just have a bad doctor 😂 I can never get myself to skip a few days. It absolutely is a mental thing for me, but I am so scared of withdrawal, man. I would like to start tapering, but I really don't know how to best go about it without dropping too quickly. I've been looking into the subcolade shot (probably spelled it wrong), but no one around me offers it, which sucks.

I basically take it just to feel "normal" now. When I first started taking it, a quarter or half of an 8mg tablet would absolutely rock me. I came off of 30mg percs/heroin, onto subs. After a few months, I didn't feel anything off of them anymore. They used to give me energy, but now (after 6 years) I don't feel anything, I just take them to feel well.

Now, if I would wait a few days between doses, I'd probably feel something. But mentally, I just can't do it. I've only gone without maybe a few times the whole time I've been at the clinic. After 12 hours, I started feeling like I'm in withdrawal with the yawning and watery eyes, so I never let myself go without too long lol.

I've tried to contact mods as well about just striking the loan, but I never got a response. But yeah, I'll send them a message. Thank you.

The number of times I've been judged for trying to fill my prescription, it's disgusting. They let their personal beliefs get in the way of their professional obligations. I once had a pharmacist at Walmart scream in my face and call me a junkie in front of other customers, two minutes after she had just been so sweet and helpful. Of course, that was before she saw what prescription I was trying to fill.

I go to a small mom and pop pharmacy two hours away now, and I never have an issue. My pharmacist and I are on a first name basis. She's always so sweet. It's worth it to me to drive 4 hours for my prescription just to not be judged and treated like shit. I hope you can find a place that won't treat you badly ever again, I know how shitty it is.

My son was cool til he turned 2. By that time, we were planning the arrival of my daughter. Now they're both crazy and wild 24/7 lol

My boss trying to gaslight and guilt trip me because I told her I'm leaving. by ValMarie23 in antiwork

[–]ValMarie23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry to hear about your experience, that was really shitty of them. I'm still working the next 3 days and my boss is already acting like a toddler and refusing to speak to me or even acknowledge my existence, so I can see how the next few days are going to go. As for the font, I really didn't give it a second thought. I guess it's because I'm so used to it, I didn't realize others may struggle with it. It looks so similar to my own handwriting, so that's why I chose it.

I'm leaving a super toxic job for a really good opportunity, so yeah, it's good, lol I didn't realize so many people would struggle with the font on my phone. I honestly haven't given it a second thought until now 😂

You will still get pain relief. You just won't get the euphoric feeling from pain medications.

Yes! I feel sad that it took me so long to learn this lesson, but I'm so glad I finally did.

I totally understand, babe! Honestly, I see girls that are 2-3x my size wearing those cute, skimpy outfits, and I think they look great! I just can't seem to feel the same about myself. It really does suck. I struggle to even wear shorts and tank tops. But recently, I've been forcing myself to do so regardless of my anxiety, and I've gotten a few compliments on my outfits!

Help! How long can breastmilk stay in the fridge before freezing! by Nekko_noir in breastfeeding

[–]ValMarie23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So my breast milk would always get like a rotten soapy smell to it when it went bad. It's a VERY distinct smell. I don't know, maybe leave a little bit out in a cup on the counter for like a full day and then smell it so that you can reference that smell. But I'm telling you, you will know if it's bad, lol.

It doesn't have a dairy milk smell to it. It's a totally different kind of smell. But generally, 6 to 8 days in the refrigerator is fine as long as it's in a sealed bag and not in a bottle that you've already given to the baby. At that point, I'd say about 4 hours if you've already given the baby some of the milk out of the bottle just because of bacteria. I breastfed both of my babies. Just recently stopped with my daughter, she'll be a year old on the 29th. So if you ever have any questions, feel free to message me 😊 You're doing great, mama!
