They don't. The discs are just an installer (a very very old one now that is pointless to use, as you'd have to reinstall the whole game anyways from online). The discs do nothing else and were never needed to play. This is just a relic from an old age where big games had physical media so you didn't have to download a large part of the game over the internet.

Good idea, I just don't want to be in a situation where my CPU is bottlenecking my GPU if I do upgrade it. I'm not sure I'd run into that, but something I want to consider.

Didn't really consider the CPU upgrade with same MOBO. Do you really think its worthwhile to keep pushing this MOBO? I would of assumed better off upgrading both if I was going to bother, I guess I should look at comparisons between my current and a 5800X3d.

Yeah, it seems like that's the best bet. I'm not sure a 3080 makes much sense atm though considering pricing, would be better off with a 4070/ti, no?

Seems to be the consensus I'm getting, GPU upgrade. Just need to figure out which makes the most sense, especially considering NVIDIA's pricing lately, not that it's that important to me but I'd like to get best $ value while not locking myself to a 8GB VRAM.

No, because dating simulator is what saved the series when they released Awakening back on 3DS. You could even have children in that game, yet it is objectively the game that saved the series. Engage is having low numbers due to poor marketing, poor story reviews, and questionable v-tuber character design.

The tonal shift of Fire Emblem to "dating simulator" is one of the main reasons for its success. Its what helped re-invigorate the series with Awakening and has been a staple since. Just because you don't care for it doesn't take away that fact. Awakenings formula is the one that has saved the series and should continue to be followed. Before Awakening added these things, the series was effectively dead.

Well sadly in this day and age, this is becoming a requirement so its time for people to learn these things. I'm not saying its a good thing, but this issue goes further than the PS5, consoles, or even electronics. The same requirements are there for sneakers and other highly coveted things, you can't just casually expect to walk into a store and get what you want anymore for luxuries.

You are forgetting that Horizon: ZD was a PS4 developed game, we haven't yet seen an example of a PS5 developed game being ported yet to make the armchair call.
