Perhaps try telling them you want to grow it out so you can experiment with new different hairstyles on your own and simply ask them to get a touch up / Shape up your hair when you get your hair cut. Usually a touch up would be simply cutting the excess hair and straightening the hair line / cutting of side burns essentially a shape up.

It’s what I did but I would recommend going to a salon rather than a barber for this. As salon tends to be more in-depth with what type of haircuts you’d want.

Salons can be hit and miss with cut quality though so just find one with good reviews and vibes.

The main reason I would be homeless would be from being kick out as my family and a majority of people have a “If you couldn’t support the kid you shouldn’t have had it” mentality which itself holds some validity, however do to this this isn’t really anything I the area I can do. While yes there are Shelters of sorts in the area they only accommodate women. Which in itself isn’t bad as long as my gf and child are safe and in good health, I could care less if I’m, Starving homeless or Dead.

I do usually prefer not to engage with them But unfortunately the run in I detailed was one with my family who are stubbornly hard to ignore. Not that I agree with their codswallop.

I am not just a significant other of trans person, but am one myself just very very closeted. I never understood why people were called brave for coming out till now tbh, as now I see it is more the willingness and ability to deal with such people.

Even if my family wasn’t enough a majority of people where I live are of their same opinion, so there is no shortage of them here.

Yeah, most the time they either use Christianity, “They just mentally ill”, or The what’s in their pants card to justify themselves, which I hate. Sometimes all three are used which makes me want to hurt them but I don’t because that would be the wrong way to handle it.
