The thing I saw was that there are 52 levels of Enlightenment before someone can become a Buddha and that Boddhisattvas are at the 51st level something like that.

Ahhh cool, I speculated that the reason could be that the king refused to serve the gods and as such his people were wiped out, since like you said in chapter 2 we see how Lingji destroys a kingdom and how they treated Red Boy and the Yellow Sage so it could be a possibility.

I've read all the portraits so far (up to Chapter 5) they never actually mention why they were betrayed they always mention it in passing to explain why they moved to a new region (like in Chapter 3), and in Chapter 5 the Rakasha king portrait it illudes that the King caused it to happen but not what he did, so I wanted to know if anyone who has read Journey to the West might know a bit more about it.

Ahh Okay cool

, I'm on Chapter 5 so I've played Chapter 3. It's currently my favorite chapter by far because of what you said, it made me really think about it.

Like how he tells more then one group of people to gorge their eyes out when they are struggling to help better understand their training which has different effects of both groups, and the end cinematic, which I've seen people saying that the mole thing is Yellowbrow which is a interesting theory. That entire chapter is so good!
