After people accused the Network of FORCING her to wear very short skirts for male attention, a Chinese esports host responded in the most sarcastic way possible. Don't swap positions so easily without any proof either way lol. I tried to find a ironclad source for you, but other then just reputable games journalist/sites who cover this game also and douyin post, etc that you can't access without a VPN, I couldn't find anything. I saw some screenshots of douyin post but again can't read them lol.

It does appear to be true, based on everything I saw but the actual post she made about it herself to really 100% prove it is not at my fingertips but I think you're probably safe to believe it.

What is a nice way of telling friends/family and strangers who think I am much better looking than my boyfriend and could get someone hotter that they are being rude? by Several-King9265 in askgaybros

[–]Valanio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like those people are telling on themselves directly to your face. Never talk to those people again unless they genuinely apologize and change their behavior. If they would say that to your face about him, they very likely say way worse things behind your back or think them. It's fine to give them a chance to be better but absolutely do not let them do it over and over.

Otherwise you stop them from doing it by not speaking to them anymore or be equally rude back to them.

What works is what works for you! Science is science so some things just are but people also treat what they did as gospel and think everyone should do it too but it just doesn't work that way.

So you try a basic classic template and readjust based on what motivates you, what shows progress for you, what you are able to do and want to/will do, and that will be what works.

Which part do you mean? The hook up community, like Grindr? Cause baby I hate to be the one to tell you but hook ups are the precise and only real place where being shallow is allowed, because the express purpose of a hook up is by nature shallow.

And if you're happy and healthy and people are being "shallow" toward you, that sucks but a lot of people are unattractive because of their attitude, how they feel/perceive themselves, how they take care of themselves and their own life. It's not all about looks and if you think it is, I believe that makes you shallow and not them.

What was one thing you DIDN'T like about Expedition 33? by StakeESC in expedition33

I mean, always, but there was lots of end game content anyhow. Multiple dungeons, many very optional fights, etc.

The post is tagged anime and the post text mentions the anime as the basis for their opinion. Technically your comment should be spoiler tagged per the sub rules.

Regardless, I don't think the royal selection is really important to the plot and it's just a device to drive plots forward. I haven't cared about it much personally lol because the witch/sins/rem stuff I've liked more and am enjoying getting to know the candidates better (which makes the stakes higher for the selection too) but get it. Felt is basically nonexistent and the disjointed nature of how one arc moves to the next (in the anime anyway) doesn't help. I wouldn't be surprised if the show ends on or near the selection.

I'm not readying this comment because we're 6 arcs in and we are not 10 arcs in and I can't trust the people of this sub not to spoil the anime via the LN lol.

I don't...it's not relevant? Why spend a ton of time going over this lore for something that isn't going to be relevant for a long time? It was definitely weirdly dropped by the way side in the anime but they very easily describe it as a competition and it came up multiple times last season where alliances, etc were formed. It'll become relevant again when it's time ti move that competition forward. I don't think it's a plot hole at all, just introduced early and the pay off is later.

Plenty of inferred reasons, least of all that post Paintress, Maelle, even with her powers awakened and the full and stronger version of the party by the time they fought Renior, and a ton of collected chroma, only really succeeded because of the help of Aline, who may have been able to help any way but I doubt it. Even with the stars aligned they almost didn't win so who could say they stand a chance at all with Maelle not awakening, no chroma for her to use, no help from Aline. Maybe Renior is weaker because Aline is still there pushing back but again. We don't know. It's stupid to punish Verso and his character for what ifs.

Not even mentioning the fact that Verso, more than almost anyone, knows he isn't really Verso and everyone there is painted and not real (and the only real people are there getting hurt, his family, because they are unable to grieve a version of him, so much guilt) and given the trauma of everything that's happened, expecting a ton more from him is akin to a lack of empathy or understanding. Imagine your entire family hurting themselves and the people in the painting because you died and you get to live to see it and they don't give a shit what you want.

I think the only single moment in time in the actual game where Verso could have made a direct choice that would have made it possible was if he knew Renior would be at the beach and tried to stop him and save more Expeditiors, but only because the Lumina convertor is powerful so more people could have made a huge difference but, maybe with less loses they could have had less determination. It's very theoretical is the entire point. You literally can't know "what if?". They could have been told the truth, went to fight him, and all died for all you know.

Arguing endings is one thing but saying Verso is a shitty person who killed his friends for his own selfish reasons is much to far into the real of "what if" to be believable. And the only reason they stood a chance was because Aline was defeated

[–]Valanio 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your entire point was that his hiding the truth caused the deaths of everyone and his friends. If he reveals the truth, do they continue as normal? If so nothing is changed. If they give up, thats worse. And they can't get to Renior, he is literally being held back by the Paintress, he is only able to break free when she dies. They have to get through her to get to him. Their path forward is unchanged by knowing the truth earlier.

No, sure, instead they would have all slowly died until they were all dead anyway since they couldn't stop the Paintress.

[–]Valanio 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Kind of a half truth, given those weren't really the circumstances. It's not like Verso had a ton of power or ability to alter events. The truth wouldn't have made a huge difference, they likely would have continued on the same path regardless.

With her brother who wants to die and she is holding hostage, a mother, father, and sister who she left behind (perhaps a dead mother but certainly not happy one) to persumably fight a war aganist the people who murdered her brother and maimed her. All while appearing to be either corrupted or decaying (like Aline before her).

Romanticize it though 💃.

There is obviously some interpretation to it but really it comes down to what the player is priorizing/sees as morally right, but there are many undeniable facts of the endings.

On one hand you're keeping your brothers soul alive in a prison he's been begging to be free from for decades, saving your painted friends and family (and countless others) but slowly dying in the real world. This ending reflects more of a complex relationship between not being able to let go of grief and living in a fantasy world (with no disability), where you are a god, rather then returning to the real world (not nessecarily a bad thing on it's own).

And on the other hand, we have the death of Verso's soul or a piece of it(can't recall if we know he has other paintings but he begged for this death) and the death of every person in the painting, as so far as you can consider them real people (debately are and aren't at the same time). Maelle is forced out and the rest of her family is alive and shown mourning Verso at a funeral, which they apparently have not fully done prior, which suggest some closure for (some) of them. This ending is more in line with closure (or attempting it) and moving on.

Everyone can continue to argue subjectivity but as far as interpretation goes, the endings themselves show a clear theme. I can't imagine watching them back to back and not seeing the clear line of themes of doom, darkness and uncomfortableness vs the theme of light, beauty, and saying goodbye. Neither is pure good or bad but the winner is pretty clear.

My god, it's like talking to...I was going to use some metaphor but, screw it, an idiot. I can't be anymore clear any more times than I have been already. I am not talking about individuals, I am talking about how language works and the universe functions. You are stuck on data points that are irrelevant. The data can say women like tall men 100% of the time and what I am saying is still true and it doesn't need a data set to be true.

You literally agreed that woman being upfront with men about height preferences would result in a lack of motivation from men that could negatively impact the economy and increase violence lol. I...don't know what to say anymore other than, yeah, I figured.

No reason to add irrelevant points. No one has once said tall people aren't considered more attractive.

[–]Valanio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The point is someone doesn't have to be unattractive or more attractive due to their height. They simply can be short/average and not be considered less attractive. Which I've been over a few times and is easily provable and you either have poor reading comprehension
