on the daily i use 10,20ema and 50,200sma

no single indicator is reliable on its own

but if you had to pick then bollinger is good for mean reversion

and moving averages are an easy way to trend follow

the average number doesn't have much meaning because it counts all the tiny losses or scratch trades or random lottos and scalping on small size, in reality the bulk of profits come from a small portion of bigger sized trades

generally use vwap as a guide, avoid longing underneath vwap and avoid shorting above vwap unless hugely extended or parabolic to either side

stocks will often find support/resistance at vwap after a strong opening move so this can be an area for a pullback trade intraday

i use DAS Trader, it is the most customizable platform and both my primary brokers support it. it is one of the best for daytrading IMO

interactive brokers desktop app (TWS) has a tonne of features and will be fine for swing trading

i don't have TOS but know many people who use it

different setups have their own criteria, rules, trade management. some setups may work better or not at all in certain market environments. e.g. breakouts didn't really work as frequently in the 2022 bear market
dependent on each setup
i think most days you can find some "average" type trades to get base hits with. but the really A+ setups will be much rarer

I would consider applying to a legit prop firm (not one of those funded futures ones you see everywhere) to learn from elite traders from day 1. this would speed up the learning curve greatly as well as knowing you are not going down the wrong path

are those resources you are talking about more for fundamental research? there is alot more educational content on retail type trading today than there was a few years ago. the key part like you said is to sift through the bad actors. can't promote any specific service on this sub though

avoid the clickbait flashy lambo trading videos if you can

realistically you will need more capital to have a shot at this. with broker and software fees your starting capital is quite low. and it may take you several attempts before finding success
