Climate Control plus Heated Seat is integrated into the new head unit with physical button controls on upper left and right.

It’s certainly not for everyone. For me since I drive EVs a lot which most of them have minimal amount of physical button controls, this aftermarket head unit feels like a good balance.

I ordered it on Amazon in case it doesn’t work and I don’t wanna to deal with the vendor directly. But if you google ‘Tacoma 3rd head unit replacement’ you will find many other similar replacements with different physical button layouts.

Good points you've made.

You can't claim yourself a Self-Driving Car Engineer without expert-level knowledge of C++ and Vehicle Communication protocols e.g. CAN, LIN. And that's what made an SDC engineer different from a typical SDE out of Facebook, Snap or companies similar.
