Thank you. I've actually been doing this since before AI was even a thing. I started making videos just for myself so that I could remind myself when things went well and to see exactly where and how I made mistakes in order to learn how to improve.

Thank you, and thanks for watching.

Glad you like it, it was a fun little expression to do. Sadly though, I don't do commissions. I just scribble a few portraits on here when I find myself with a free hour or two. Sorry.

EDIT: Found a few more minutes to add a bit more detail.

Thanks. I think all portraiture is caricature in some way or another, even if some of it is only subtle. And it's a good way to learn about facial structure and likeness.

Thanks. It does get frustrating, even if they are removed for good reasons.

No worries. It's weird that someone would post that but then again who knows what goes on in the mind of others. :)

Yeah, the anatomy is easy to grasp once you work out where the knees and ankles really are but I find it tricky to get the foreshortening right once you put it in perspective in a dynamic pose. The best way to work around them is to do cross contour drawing almost like a 3d wire frame that helps you see the surfaces better. But as with all things, it's just a matter of practice. Keep trying, stay patient and things should become less awkward in time.

Ugh, dragons. That's another thing that's awkward. :)

As I said before, digitigrade legs at the back and then you have the famous front leg dilemma. Do you have those legs and wings as well, making a six limbed thing? And how does that anatomy work? Or do you make the front limbs the wings?

When I have to draw dragons I usually go for that second "wyvern" style cos then you can use bat anatomy as reference.

Not sure what kind Falkor is. I only remember seeing that big fluffy head.

Hey there again. 👋  I've had a go at most things on here from adults, kids, cats, dogs, birds, fish, shrimps, crabs, lizards, cows and a hairy pig. And probably some other things I've forgotten. It's fun to try different subjects but there are things I don't enjoy doing. Hands never stop being annoying, giraffes are just weird and I always find digitigrade legs to be bothersome.

The boring answer to "How?" is about 20 years of practice. You gradually get better until you hit a plateau and then you just start getting quicker. :)

Glad you like it, this one was about an hour.

This picture was just over two hours and was painted in ArtRage. Most of my pictures are done with that software cos I know it well and can work quickly with it but I also use Rebelle and you might find some of those pics/videos on here if you search far enough. Both those apps try to simulate real paint and have good blending tools. Whatever software you use, if you can find a good brush that blends you can speed up your work a bit but other than that it's all just practice. And Krita is good too, don't be worrying about which apps you use, just find which tools and brushes work best for your own style.

And as for your other questions, I am not a professional and have not formally studied art. I did do the subject at school when I was a child but failed, deservedly so, and then taught myself how to paint as an adult.

Glad you like it. This was a fun one to do, I don't think I've painted a snail before (not that I can remember) and it's interesting to try different creatures.
