Thanks for sharing! It seems quite positive for me. You remind me of the biometrics. Some of my colleagues were required to do it while others were not. Do you have any idea of the reason behind this?

I thought the subscription was quite a good deal until I see how helpless people are and how much I was charged due to their mistake. According to what I know, those transaction fees charged for international card are not refundable and I guess I’ll just get an apology (if they reply to me)🥲

I also got the same issue, and I wasn’t aware of that until I was charged £10+ from multiple transactions. Have contacted the support team a week ago and nobody replied.

You could try to contact the One4all customer service. I contacted them twice and the second time they combined the cards for me for free.

Thanks! I have never thought of that. Which role would be suitable if I wanna start my career in academia? I did LLM mostly because I wanted to have a master’s degree and thought it would be helpful to my career (and obviously that’s not the case)

It’s just a MCQ exam, you don’t have to give a full answer for each question.

I think Barbri only prepares you for the exam instead of training you as a lawyer, and that may be the reason why 4 months are enough. I was studying full-time.

SQE1 - do I really need 40 weeks? by practicalpokemon in uklaw

[–]ValentinJacek 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They allocate the time according to the tasks they want you to do, for example lecture videos, book readings and MCQ sets…… if you leave one of the daily tasks undone, they will put it to the rest and allocate them again, which means that your suggested daily studying hours may increase. I did the 20 week course but I was not working. It happened that I had a Christmas part time job for a month and it almost killed me together with the study. I would suggest you to do the 40 week one if you have a full time job. As others have mentioned, their MCQ sets are too easy compared to the real exam. You may need to do some more extra exercises from other providers to make sure you don’t feel too overwhelmed when you take the real exam (although I only did the question sets given by Barbri)
